izzy - thanks for be so honest. as you are always doing different bits and pieces i must admit i thought you were getting them all through IK. oo you think it might make a difference that there are no boys in his age group with his skin colour - or am i just hoping. does everyone that applies to IK get asked to come in and see them (like BK do). i really want to get things moving as hes goes into reception sept. been with BK so long now and fed up with waiting. so i applied to bruce and brown and urban angels - be gutted if its a no as havent had to face that yet but suppose we all get told no at some time. will wait and see what happens with them (hopefully this week) b4 going to see IS - as think they are both sole rep. pointless staying with BK nothing happening there.

Oh pooh! (stamping foot in irritation!)

DS is doing the Littlewoods casting this weekend as well but DH is taking him to it. I finally thought I could meet some of you but I'll be home-based that day. NUTS! So if you see a lone bloke who looks vaguely like Phil Collins on a bad day, it's my DH! :D

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. Seems like we are perpetually on holiday these days!

mysonsmummy >> IK is quite picky with the kids they do take onto their books and, in my eyes, that's a good thing and I think that not having any "competition" in his age group is also good but that doesn't mean he will have work, I think a lot is also down to luck and wheather the agency you're with has clients looking for your child's "look". The good thing of IK is that they don't require sole rep so you can do like us and be with other agencies as well... have you tried MOT and Elliott Brown? They're also not sole rep agencies... then you can even stay with BK seeing that you already paid them anyway... otherwise try the top agencies such as Bruce & Brown, Urban Angels and Kids London as they have looooads of work for their kids...

Oh, i've had a call for dd1 to go for littlewoods casting too, but i haven't been given any details .. so already i'm not too hopeful :(
Can i ask if those going for this casting have been given times and location already?

Tigeryuan, so exciting to see your ds in junior .. pity i couldn't get a better look, but didn't want dd2 to rip your mag!! :)

I haven't been given details yet either. I think it is going to be completely manic! Casting and shooting in one weekend?! Crazy!!!!

Gotta take DS into London for his suit fitting for the C4 ident this afternoon and to an audition for a short (seriously short - 5 minutes) film tomorrow afternoon. After the Littlewoods casting I think I'll give the poor lad a break for a while. I've agreed to too much so far because he hadn't had any luck for such a long time. Don't want to turn into a pushy mum. He moans a bit about going into London but enjoys himself once he is there and loves the auditions/castings. I have to sit down with him and find out if he REALLY enjoys it or if he is doing all of this because he sees that it pleases me. Who knows - we may not get a call again for months and months!!!

Tiger - What page is your LO on in Junior this month?

Allie - Any news on the other house?

haven't received a call for job/casting for ages now!! Sad

mysonsmummy - i'm also with IK (also with BK & MOT), but I haven;t have any castings/jobs with them yet. however, i still like them as they did some really nice photos for my ds.For the money i paid £100, i think its worth it.
As izzy mentioned before, may be they're still new & my ds hasn't got the look for their clients.

I won't just stay with BK, try to apply with few more agencies and see how it goes. Good luck!

anyway, i think the junior baby magazine won't be out till early June. so, next month!
