Got call from KL they want my girls to go to littlewoods casting, its all very odd as my girls not even on there books.

izzyrubi · 28/04/2006 20:16

Totally >> Long time no see, how are you? Smile Wasn't dd2 with KL a while ago? Are you taking them to casting?

totallyfloaty35 · 28/04/2006 20:59

Hi Iz,yes youngest dd was with them about 3 months ago,i said dd1 wasnt available, not sure if i would take them,it might cause probs, but they told me they been putting both of them up for work for a while now, which is strange.
DD1 got paid by U/A today she is running around whooping with joy at the mo.
Hope you are all well, goodluck with all your projects mums and kids seem to be busy now

mysonsmummy · 28/04/2006 23:10

izzy: no i only sent the photos to them - i follow this thread and havent really heard anything bad about them. theres not one boy in age 3 - 5 thats even my sons skin colour never mind look like him. thats what made up my mind. will go to see them asap. ds should have got more work with b/k than he has. also TBC most of the well known agencies seem pretty similar to me anyway - in terms of jobs.

mysonsmummy · 28/04/2006 23:10

meant TBH

fattiemumma · 29/04/2006 00:03

hiya all.
seeing as you all seem to know pretty much everything about child modelling agnecies etc can i ask for some advice?

my daughter is 19 months old and is pretty gorgeous (not just my own biased opinion) and she has tonnes of carachter and really enjoys being the centre of attention and dressing up etc.
i think she would o really well in the child modelling industry as she just has that "show off" personality.

i am based in West sussex but can travel within reason. where do you think is a good place to start? i dont want to just go to the local agency and pay through the nose just for her to be left in a book on the shelf and never get seen by anyone.

she has dark brown hair with natural blonde streaks and big green eyes and the cutest smnile with most of her teeth.
just thought i'd add that in case some agencies are inundated with girls looking similar lol

AllieBongo · 29/04/2006 08:11

scroll down and have a look at izzy's web address. That has all agencies we know and have had good experience of. Don't fork out lots of money. It is tempting when people tell you how gorgeous your kids are, but it's not necessary. I haven't paid a penny out. Most are based in London and all castings/jobs tend to be too. HTH!

7up · 29/04/2006 08:51

morning allie, ive woke with a headache (bad nite with little L) and my mothers coming soon to highlight my hair. agghhhhhh a tightcap on my head, il put up with the pain just to look beautifulGrin

any house news

izzyrubi · 29/04/2006 08:56

Mysonsmummy >> We're with IK and although I really like them we haven't done a lot, I think IK is great and their approach to the business is fantastic but they're new and that's not always a good thing, if you're with other agencies and don't mind waiting that's fine but otherwise I'd suggest you look around. The agencies with best reviews are definitely Kids London, Bruce & Brown, MOT and Urban Angels so if I were in your place I'd try them before doing anything. If you want to be with more than one agency I suggest trying MOT, Cheeky Kidz and Elliott Brown. There's also Bubblegum, Alphabet Kidz, Boss, Norrie Carr, Elisabeth Smith, Scallywags, Truly Scrumptious who are all really really good but bear in mind that some will charge high fees (ES, Scallywags, TS and NC). This is obviously my personal opinion and based on my personal experience with them. If you want more details on the agencies check \link{http://www.childmodelling.net\www.childmodelling.net}. Good luck and let us know how you get on!!

fattiemumma >> the website I mentioned above is a good way to start as it has a lot of info as well as a list of agencies etc. in your place I'd start applying to as many reputable agencies as possible! Bear in mind that some agencies don't take kids between 18-24 months because they're well known for tantrums, there are the obvious exceptions and if they think they can get her work they will take her on anyway! Good luck with that and keep us posted on how you get on Smile

7up · 29/04/2006 08:57

izzyrubi · 29/04/2006 08:58

izzyrubi · 29/04/2006 09:00

7up >> it's not mine, really, I just help them Grin it's there for information anyway so better promote heh?

AllieBongo · 29/04/2006 09:08

oh 7's take some nurofen! you will feel better with a nice 'do' They haven't declined our offer, but are trying to negotiate some cash off of the new build they are buying. They are on a really tight budget. I hate bloody waiting. The agent just rang me to tell me they will call back again soon. aaaaaaggghhhhh.

izzyrubi · 29/04/2006 09:13
