(aren't you all a bit concerned that your child won't be the best looking child at the meet-up.....just something that popped into my little head)

mogwai · 12/04/2006 22:48

(I mean, my LO is amazingly good looking, but since I cut her fringe with the kitchen scissors I daren't take her out without the shade-a-babe on her Silver Cross Primaperiri)

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 22:52

that's just silly, all our babies are gorgeous!

tigeryuan · 12/04/2006 22:54

mimi - good luck !
where is the softplay place?

izzy- if you want to join us lunch in oriental city, i could pick you up from central london, then it'll take half an hr drive to get there, but it all depends on the traffic!

mogwai · 12/04/2006 22:58

I think my LO is gorgeous, but must admit, the fringe has caused quite a stir.

How can you tell whether your little one really is lovely though? I mean, we all think our babies are beautiful, but when I look back, she was like a little prune until 4 months.

Should I take her to a casting agent to see if she's really good looking or it's just in my imagination? I'm near Manchester if anyone has any contacts?

sweet xx

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:02

mogwai >> good agencies in Manchester are Boss, DK and Kidz Ltd, send her photos to them!

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:03

tiger >> that sounds brilliant but there's one problem: car seat! I'm sure it will be fine to catch the train, just gotta get dh or our ex-nanny to come along with us!

mogwai · 12/04/2006 23:07

should I wait for her fringe to grow?

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:11

mogwai >> I'm not sure, if you think she looks nice with the fringe then no but if you think she looks better when she doesn't have a fringe then yes :) I am, that's my personal opinion!

cyan · 12/04/2006 23:12

hi izzy carly's just emailed me! she's lovely isnt she!!! told me what nc said about ds! how lovely!!!

mogwai · 12/04/2006 23:12

and what clothes should I put on her? I have some stuff by Burberry, a few Dior outfits (which don't suit her) and some cheap stuff like Kenzo and Oililly

Do casting agents notice things like that? Don't want to look like I'm trying too hard but think it's good to make a statement, don't you?

tigeryuan · 12/04/2006 23:14

izzy- your little girl could sit on my son's car seat, then my son could sit on the adult one. i really don;t mind.
but, of course you could take your hubby with you if this is easier.
we're meeting on the 29 Apr (sat) @12pm.
pls join us if you could. its okay if you can;t make it because of the location!

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 23:15

mogwai if u are interested in modellking u can just send some pictures off to a few agencies. it does not matter what they were its not the clothes they are looking at, good luck

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:21

tiger >> I'm free on that Sat so will be there, if you don't mind the car seat issue then I'll take the offer but have a think and I'll speak to dh and we'll see!

Cyan >> I love Carly, she's really sweet and her sons are the most well behaved kids I've ever met! One of them did a job with my dd, that's how we met!

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 23:23

izzyrubi- can i just ask ur advice,,, do i have to call the agency to tell them how long i a,m there after the thing tom, or not??

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:23

Grin
izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 23:26

mimi >> I'm not sure how your agency works, I never had to call the agency to tell them how long I stayed there but I know some agencies have forms and things, I always get a call from them before I get around to do it but my daughter hasn't done many jobs, your best bet is to ask someone from the same agency! good luck anyway and keep us posted!
