not yet, these things best done about 45 minutes before the gate closes!

am really excited about travelling da sola now, going to do the novel in 30 days thing (have you heard of it? Nanowrimo?) and there are not enough novels set in Sicily!

Oh god no, I get in such a tizzy travelling, I'm ready weeks days in advance!

Una ntattu novel? Shock Wow. Iu l'accattaru quannu tu li finiri! A chi l'sia? (What will it be about?)

Alameda · 24/10/2012 20:51

I don't know, anything that makes me laugh while I'm writing it Grin it is for fun, not publication, just a challenge to write around 2000 words a day without editing yourself. But will have a Sicilian flavour, definitely! It should be around 50000 words by the end of the month.

Very open to ideas, I think I will set it in Palermo (around the drop zone) and there will be lots of sex and unexplained death with all the important characters being women.

I wish I was better at packing, I never have enough pants and do you think I've paid enough attention in Italian class to buy some when I'm there? Grin

Alameda · 24/10/2012 21:03

drop zone - parachuting

think there is one in Palermo, my novel might have some skydiving in it so that I have an excuse to do 'research' Wink

Annunziata · 24/10/2012 21:08

Oh no signucari pi iu a investigare! Shock

I'm not really sure to be honest, I think most people will just go to Mass, to the cemetery, have dinner. You might get a parade though, that would be amazing! Food though- look for the ossi dei morti biscuits, e frutta martona, the marzipan fruits.

Annunziata · 24/10/2012 21:09

SKYDIVING? Oh dios mio Shock you would really skydive?

Alameda · 24/10/2012 21:14

Alameda · 24/10/2012 21:57

take off is one of my absolute favourite feelings in the world! The speed and the force, like a galloping horse

I even secretly liked the drama of an emergency landing once Blush
