Ciao a tutti!

Flights are a nightmare to be honest, none from Scotland afaik. Normally we go via London and then drive down. We use BA, it's not ideal, but we can get the airmiles/ points things (especially because there are so many of us!) which helps.

Francagoestohollywood · 18/10/2012 20:03

Ciao ragazze!
Alameda, stai meglio?
Vorrei andare in Sicilia per il weekend dei Mortu, ma credo che ormai sia troppo caro prenotare...
Quando parti, Al?

Francagoestohollywood · 18/10/2012 20:03

Morti

Annunziata · 18/10/2012 20:08

Oooh, frutta martona from the morticieddi! Yummy.

Alameda · 18/10/2012 20:11

RavenVonChaos · 18/10/2012 20:16

How do you pronounce vuole?

Alameda · 18/10/2012 20:17

I badly wanted mia sorella to come because she loves frutti di mare and could have guided me through - she might still, is going to sleep on it and let me know. Actually is one night with friend in Milan then Catania (then Siracusa please let there be frequent trains)

I kind of do want to go alone too though, in some ways, is nice to please yourself isn't it!

OP posts:
Annunziata · 18/10/2012 20:21

Ciao, Raven! My very bad attempt at writing it down is like vole with a y. So voleh. Hmm

Either will it will be brilliant, Alameda! You must dimmi tutti when you come back!

Who knows, I have the oddest talian out!

God I would be there in a shot if

a) I could get time off work (ha)
b) DH wasn't incapable
c) mie suocera wouldn't kill me for leaving her darling
c) the DC, I had to separate them tonight because DS1 (22. 22 YEARS OLD) went to McDonalds with DD2, stole her toy cannon from her happy meal and proceeded to spend the evening shooting the cannon at everyone, leading to a fight in my bloody living room)

Francagoestohollywood · 18/10/2012 20:27

Alameda · 18/10/2012 20:36

hahahaha al a b c c Grin

I would trust the dog to do a better job of babysitting than my 20yo, she is lovely but either her or the 13 yo or both would come to a terrible end if left alone? So I know I know!

I actually hate saying vuole (and vorrei) more than any other word except 'gli' (my jaw is just too static for that)

OP posts:
Alameda · 18/10/2012 20:37

BellaTata · 18/10/2012 21:06

I'm here! Thanks for the link! Only know very basic Italian so I'll have a flick through the pages and try and keep up!

Annunziata · 18/10/2012 21:14

Ciao BellaTata!

Do they still use tata as cutie or whatever? Is that ancient?

BellaTata · 18/10/2012 21:18

I am under the impression that bella is beauty and tata is nanny, as in... io sono una tata. That may be completely wrong with masc/fem endings etc. I start my course on Monday so hopefully I will pick it up quickly.
