There is a big circle of love, prayers and hope and Aillidh is in the middle of it.

I will pick a beautiful new Yankee Candle when I go out this afternoon and I will light it for Aillidh when I get home.

Thinking of you all. x

TheProvincialLady · 05/07/2012 12:52

I'm in Ely - and have put Ailidh's name up on the prayer board for tonight at the cathedral.

I also lit a candle for her at the Lady Chapel - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DSCF0563,_UK,_Ely,_Cathedral,_Lady_Chapel.jpg where there is a very strong statue of Mary - being an active woman - a mother to many - made me think of everyone supporting Ailidh and her family - a chain of strong women - holding hands.

I am not a religious person, but I do believe in the power of the collective human spirit - I am going to therefore ask that a prayer be said for Aillidh at my daughter's nursery (which is in a church).

VerityBrulee · 05/07/2012 13:26

Always carrying Ailidh in my thoughts, throughout my daily mundane activities. I see the grass and the sunshine, and will Ailidh to remember the feeling of rolling around in the grass, to hold on to positive thoughts.
We don't presume to know God's plan, but can only pray with all our heart, knowing that nothing is impossible.
And pray to guide the medical team, who we are sure are doing their utmost - but all of us are only human, and need guidance.

puffyankles · 05/07/2012 13:55

Prayers said with school chaplain.x

Mindyourownbusiness · 05/07/2012 14:01

Lougle Tempname and Shira and anyone else who took the trouble to explain about the 'sats' etc.

Ahh poor little thing, l remember my son struggling to breathe when he was a child during an asthma attack. That was terrifying enough , he didnt have the strength to walk or talk at times he was so exhausted. You just want to breathe for them, dont you ?

The last update was about 8:15 this morning from what l understand so getting on for 6 hrs or a whole quarter of her crucial 24hrs.That has to be good - no news is good news, come on little girl. x
