Expat, I have just read , on facebook, about the negativity you have been hearing.
15 years ago I was in ICU with Liver failure. My mother got the same thing. I'm still here and I'm healthy. Don't give up hope yet. xxx

I will be praying at noon again. Join in if you want to send a prayer/vibes/good wishes/tiger to Aillidh and all very sick children.

SaliFourth · 04/07/2012 11:54

Update from FB

"What is hardest is the intensivists up here believe she hasn't a hope. We have to sit with her, weighted down by their negativity."

expat I could Google and find 200 stories of children given a poor prognosis who pulled through and are living a full and happy life.

The wise and wonderful medics do a great job but they cannot know what the future holds 100%. We are all praying and rooting for Aillidh and believe she can be healed. I know it's desparately hard work to keep positive, but never give up hope. x

ginnybag · 04/07/2012 11:55

Love and best wishes from Bury, Lancs and map pinned and Candles Lit.

I hope it's okay but I've been praying to my Great Aunty, asking her to look after little Ailidh. She died last year but spent her life splitting her time between her devotion to God and her devotion to the children she worked with as a nurse

I don't think I have much pull up there, but if anyone did, she did, so I've been asking her to keep Ailidh company and to pass on my messages as it were.

Sounds silly, but it might help!

JustFabulous · 04/07/2012 11:57

I don't even know if it would be the right thing to do but could you pull them up on it every time the medics are negative about the future for Aillidh? Maybe ask them how they would feel if she was their child and someone was being so cruel to the parent.

amalur · 04/07/2012 12:16

Checking in to say Aillidh is in my thoughts every day, first thing in the morning, during the day and last thing at night. Keep fighting, we are behind you!

Now, I am going to look for that map.

MildewMayhew · 04/07/2012 12:17

Just want to send my thoughts and prayers to Ailidh x

psychomum5 · 04/07/2012 12:21

been out and come back to this...

"Neutrophils still .3, Wbc 5. Platelets 6. Please, please help me hang onto hope. She is stable. Her tummy and legs are far less bloated. Her pneumothorax has healed. Is she telling us, that she needs time? I'm going to take these as signs that yes, she does. I can't let her go just now. Just can't."

how positive to just last week, and what fighting spirit precious Aillidh has. This girl will go far!!!

ICU is such a grim place, Im saying my prayers for Ailidh AND her family. Expat, I know its hard to stay strong and positive, I would imagine the medics feel the same way. But miracles do happen, every single day. Thats why there are so many believers in the medical world. Hold on to hope and faith.

StateofConfusion · 04/07/2012 12:31

Lunch time prayers coming from Norfolk xx

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 04/07/2012 12:53

Come on little girl, keep fighting. XxX

TanteRose · 04/07/2012 13:00

Pinned the map, just south of Tokyo...there is a huge, beautiful moon shining in the sky - I am sending love and hugs via the moonbeams to Aillidh

{{{expat}}} I just cannot imagine what you are going through - stay strong.

Northernlurker · 04/07/2012 13:01

i'm sure that the hospital staff don't mean to be cruel but they tread a very fine line indeed when giving information about a patient's condition. They don't know what we know Expat. We have hope and we have belief and we are going to see miracles.
'For I know the plans I have for you,? declares the Lord, ?plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' (Jeremiah 29)

Hold on to hope. It's there.

McKayz · 04/07/2012 13:13

Thinking of you all. Keep fighting Aillidh and stay strong Expat. Xx

TimeForMeAndDD · 04/07/2012 13:33

Recent facebook update.

During physio, Aillidh suffered a pulmonary haemorrage. It has cleared and her saturation levels are recruiting. We could have lost her then, but we did not. It may happen again and be the death of her, however. Her drugs are being rejigged.

We must call on any divinity we have at this time, all. I beg you please. Aillidh needs us.
