Dh had a form of cancer as a child. It had a 5% survival rate. His odds were less than that as it had already metastasised when he was diagnosed. His parents (and family) are people of faith and they upheld him in 24/7 prayer for as long as it took (year plus). He survived.

He was told that he would be sterile from the treatment. We have four dc.

He is a doctor. He doesn't give patients or their families false hope but he does believe in miracles. He is one.

Praying constantly that Aillidh will be healed and that all those supporting her through this valley will be encouraged, strengthened, resolved. His grace is sufficient.

Don't give up hope.Consultants do not know everything.DH and I had 3 different consultants tell us that we'd never have children and that we should give up.I'm pretty bloody minded and refused.Well, they were dead wrong and my miracles are 7 and 8 now.Consultants know what they know, but they don't know everything.

That is why I believe in miracles.Smile

when dh was 2 he had had a lung infection and was in intensive care. The doctors told PILs that there was no chance he would survive, and so they decided to take him out of the hospital and home to die. Obviously he didn't.

Aillidh we are praying for you here, you WILL make it.

bumbleymummy · 04/07/2012 14:13

Still praying and sending you all love and strength. X

There are some inspirational stories on here.
When my father was admitted to hospital with encephalitis, the first 3 doctors to see him, said he wouldn't make it. He woke up after 3 days in a coma and is still here 40 years later.

Sending hope, prayers, positive energy and lovexx

MissBetseyTrotwood · 04/07/2012 14:22

We've been told so many times by doctors and therapists the things that DS2 will never be able to do. He's done them.

So much love and positivity sent your way. Stay holding on, all of you.

she still needs these prayers folks.....this was posted an hour ago....sorry for the delay, feeling weary and off colour today and fell to sleep.

"Acute Myeloid Leukaemia - Aillidh's Search For A Donor
During physio, Aillidh suffered a pulmonary haemorrage. It has cleared and her saturation levels are recruiting. We could have lost her then, but we did not. It may happen again and be the death of her, however. Her drugs are being rejigged.

We must call on any divinity we have at this time, all. I beg you please. Aillidh needs us."

and this a short time later

"She is recruiting. 89% oxygen at sats at 83. Heart rate still high, however, 140. Please, pour it on, all! She needs you.
