Have to say I look at Ralph Fiennes or Jude Law and wonder how they feel that their sordid private lives bring them as much fame/notoriety as their film roles. Must be horrible to have your indiscretions splattered all over the papers - not that that excuses the indiscretions!

It is a luvviefest for sure but I love it. I love seeing all the evening gowns and men in their penguin suits, the ones that got dressed in the dark (Thandie Newton) and all the gushy speeches.

I loved Lord Puttenhams speech, it was heartfelt and my husband was brought to tears by the same lines in Sixth Sense (he too has lost a parent)so it was very poignant to me.

Why do they keep on making jokes about poor old Daniel Craig? So embarrassing when they keep cutting to him and he has to put on a rictus grin.

Well I did wonder when Sienna Miller came on stage to present an award whether everyone would be able to see down the back of her dress (one of those cowl back things) via the mirror on the ceiling of the stage.
