Following on from the truly skint thread I bet there are lots of us with things we have that we would be prepared to send to those who are really struggling. I don't want to insult anyone by offering things but at the same time I want to help if I can. I have boys clothes and shoes up to age 5 and black school trousers age six. Pm me. Anyone else have anything

I have loads of pairs of boys shorts 3-4
and a fair few tshirts too
Come on, the sun is shining, someone must need them!

RabbitsMakeBrownEggs · 24/05/2012 11:05

I am fairly certain I have some Bum Genius reusable nappies hanging around somewhere in pink and white. Pretty good quality as I only used them a little bit and I had about thirty. Will check for sure if there is any interest. x

Is anyone in Gloucestershire? I can get two stagecoach bus passes that will give you free travel anywhere within the county on both 30 June/1st July (they come with free tickets to the cheltenham sports fun day thing on the same days, so you get that too Smile - its free for under 6's so tickets are for anyone else)

www.sportsfestivals.co.uk/

Am sending out some work clothes and age 18-24/5-6 things this weekend, but still have the following:

Boys clothes
Aged 3 ish- long sleeved and short sleeved tshirts and shirts, hoodies/jumpers, a couple of pairs of trousers, a nice thick khaki duffle coat(only noticed when putting it in "too small pile" that there is a popper missing- but I never noticed this before so it hasn't made any difference whatsover), lightweight lined summer cagoule thingy with a hood, pjs and socks.

Aged 4-5 ish
Short sleeved tshirts, long and short sleeved
shirts.

Boys shoes - quite a few pairs in size 6 up to size 9 ish.

Have also got my dh to have a clear out of his wardrobe, and his weight obviously yo-yos more than me as he has got loads of stuff the wrong size :)

Mens stuff
Jeans, casual trousers, (34 long or 36 long) work shirts and casual shirts and tshirts in sizes l and xl
Nice grey with purple trim fat face jumper in large (although this was more like a medium, hence it has been worn just once but needs repairing under the arm where the seam split as it was too small!)

Happy to post any of the above.

This thread is such a good idea. I can give back something as I have been in the same situation and have been so grateful of other people's support when times were so hard for me. Good karma.

It's getting hot!

Rummaged in dd's drawers this morning, have not a single dress, shorts, skirt or leggings for summer that fit! (I think I'm in some kind of denial that she grows and the precious items I loved last year will still fit this!)

Would be delighted if anyone has any girls stuff or even boys / unisex shorts etc in size 12m - 18mo / or actually given she's 17mo a tad bigger to see us through summer that they could send me?

Happy to send out the stuff that doesn't fit if anyone needs girls summer clothes so 6-12mo..?? and smaller sizes available too.. Please pm if you need..

Also for anyone expecting in colder months I have winter bits too if you need anything?

Many Thanks

Just found a girls sun hat if anyone wants one. Worn but as new. Reversible red gingham/ white. About 9-12 month size. And tesco have bigger sun hats at £1 this week. Basic pink or blue but look ok

BRAS

2 x M & S bras (34G or 34GG I think), 1 white & 1 black - hardly worn - bought towards end of pregnancy with DD when norks were huge. Now they're just flappy Sad. They err towards practical rather than pretty, but perfectly OK.

BABY FOOD

Still have an unopened box of Organix Baby Rice (suitable from 4 months onwards) and an unopened box of Heinz Cheese and Broccoli Dinners (found this useful as a sauce for livening up other mashed up veg).

Will have more of a rummage over the weekend. I'll cover postage Smile

DucketyDuckDuck · 24/05/2012 14:02

Hello

I have two maternity smock/tunic/dresses - not really sure but will describe them!

1 x primarily black, fitted around the bust, flares out from there with a tie back. I am 5.10, and it was mid thigh at least on me. Really really comfy. Very very stretchy material. It has a pattern around the hem, fushia pinks and white. Elbow length sleeves. Size 18/20. Wore this with wide leg trousers mostly, and leggings too.

1 x swirly (think seventies patterns) purple, blues, fawn, white. Very flattering. Long sleeves with button detail on wrists. Fitted on bust, then flairs out. Again very stretchy material. This was a staple for me at work with black tights and flats, or at home with leggings.

Hope they go to a good home!

DucketyDuckDuck · 24/05/2012 14:04

Sorry, purple swirly tunic size 20

TequilaMockinBird · 24/05/2012 14:50

Does anyone have massive knockers a large chest (40G) and need bras? I have 2 new ones here which I'd be happy to give away as they're too small for me

1 is M&S in a lemon colour and the other is a George padded one in leopard print with bright pink straps

TwllBach · 24/05/2012 16:01

Both red coats are gone Smile but the black coat and the dress are still available.

Toddle · 24/05/2012 16:24

ladies summer tops

I have tons of summer style/Strappy tops that are sat in the spare wardrobe non fit and probably won't ever again Sad. Some are plain/coloured some have patterns not sure what the labels say but I'd guess most will fit around a 12-14 person although there are a few that are 16-18. There not boden is it Grin most are George/primark/tesco/new look/select but if anyone is interested can send as bulk or split if a few people are interested.

Unfortunately I may need you to pay postage as I am strapped myself but there's about 25+ tops here so if struggling it should work out lots cheaper then buying them.

Toddle · 24/05/2012 16:33

black work/school trousers

Have 3 pairs of black trousers size 12. Two pairs are completely fine the others came apart at the seam at the top of the bum. I stitched it back up and have since wore them myself although no longer fit. They are perfectly wearable to anyone skinner then myself Grin.

As below unfortunately I'm strapped myself so would need someone to cover postage if they wanted them but at a guess I think it would be about 2.20/3.00 maybe for all.

QueenOfTheMadhouse · 24/05/2012 17:04

I have a yellow and white striped sun hat for a new baby from Next, new without tags, my sister bought it for my 1 year old but didn't think to look at the size. If it is any use to anyone let me know and i will send it out.

KitKatGirl1 · 24/05/2012 18:15

To everyone I've promised stuff to - I will get it posted out but looking more like Monday now - poorly ds and dh and work getting in the way...Apols xx

DaisyMaisyJessicaEmily · 24/05/2012 18:20

Just repeating my offer as I can afford postage now Blush girl's swimsuit aged 4-5yrs sports style rather than prettied up style, navy pink and white blocks

PM me if you really need one

YohoAhoy · 24/05/2012 18:40

Just starting my clear out, so here goes.

4 boys t-shirts from age 8-10 (ds had them at 9, different shops hence size variance!) All worn but great for playing about in.

Kiddorable hooded waterproof coat, girls, white with sheep on. Eur. size 104/110 - prob 3-4 year old? was present and never worn as too small.

Next dark denim skinny girls jeans, 12 years. Only worn a few times as have the incredible stretching child!!

Next dark denim girl jeans 11 years. Worn a bit more, and the belt is missing, but still in decent shape.

Will add more as I go.

Lovely thread :)

KnottyLocks · 24/05/2012 18:50

The Next boxer shorts are on their way to a new owner.

YohoAhoy · 24/05/2012 18:54

Boys t-shirts have a new home :)

OhNoMyFanjo · 24/05/2012 19:01

I have some Girls cropped leggings size 3-4. There is white, light pink and dark pink think there are 5 in total. (bargin from eBay last year). Really good on there own or with dresses/tops. I have found dresses last dd longer by putting leggins under as she is tall.

Might not be able to cover postage but depends how many want to split them.

OhNoMyFanjo · 24/05/2012 19:03

Oh I also have some sleep suits 0-6 months. Full arms and legs, they were given to me to have now been used by three boys but obviously still useable. Just let me know and what size, again I might not be able to cover postage.

dementedma · 24/05/2012 19:07

I have a pair of chocolate brown linen trousers, ideal for summer for work. they are from Debenhams designer range "star", I think, and have a nice belt etc. Never worn, still have tags on. Says they are a size 12 but neither of my size 12 DDs can get into them, so a very small 12 or possivly a 10.
Can mail anywhere in UK.

WhereYouLeftIt · 24/05/2012 20:04

Boys t-shirts and polo tops now have new homes, I still have boys trousers if anyone can use them :

2 pairs of school trousers (Tu brand) for age 14

  • 1 pair black, waist measures about 30", inside seam 24.5"
  • 1 pair charcoal grey, waist 29" and inside seam 25.5"

1 pair of Gap jeans, loose fit, age 12, waist 30" and inside seam 25"

Smile

I have this and this if anyone in the Richmond/Twickenham areas needs furniture. I can't deliver as I don't drive but happy to give it if anyone can pick up. Used them for about a year then got enough money to upgrade, but they are just sitting here waiting to be sold so if anyone needs them...

I also have a cheapy Asda iron, used it once it's still in the box. Again someone could pick up or I could drop it anywhere within walking distance of Richmond/Twickenham.
