Following on from the truly skint thread I bet there are lots of us with things we have that we would be prepared to send to those who are really struggling. I don't want to insult anyone by offering things but at the same time I want to help if I can. I have boys clothes and shoes up to age 5 and black school trousers age six. Pm me. Anyone else have anything

Just wanted to say you can pass stuff to your health visitor, she will know people in need. As would you sure start.

Housing associations often help out those with nothing and womens centres.

billsmill · 19/05/2012 21:23

I have a cot (without mattress) that we're not using, in South East London, could deliver pm me.

Shimbo · 19/05/2012 22:30

I have some nursing bras, I think they are about 40/42 F/G or similar (can't go and check without waking DH), happy to send them to a good home.

revolutionconfirmed · 20/05/2012 09:13

Hi all.

Does anyone have black girls schoolish looking shoes in a size 9? I'm pretty desperate. DD1 needs new shoes as all she has is black boots but I can't afford the £10 for even cheap shoes.

Thank you.

Mibby · 20/05/2012 10:08

More toddler clothes, 9-12 month leggings, tights, a swimming costume and wooly hats. Also 12-18 months tights, red tunic dress, denim skirt and a few long sleeve tops. All girls

Still got the mans top and the cat food too

Thing3 · 20/05/2012 10:22

M&S trousers set and denim dress have gone.

If anything is left tomorrow I will pass on to the local sure start centre or my health visitor.

MsVelvet · 20/05/2012 10:36

Thankyou RabbitsMakeBrownEggs i would be grateful for anything i really would :)

thatboysmum · 20/05/2012 11:07

I have to offer:
-A navy pair of high top style trainers, size 6.
-Blue/yellow 'bob the builder' wellie's, size 7 (there are yellowish stains on the blue parts but not really noticeable).
-A pair of navy Nike joggers, not sure what size they are but are approx 56cm in length (waist to bottom of leg).
-A pair of PJ's, red short sleeve tshirt with a dog on the front and blue/red/white checkered shorts, age 18 months-2 years.
-A white long sleeve shirt with grey pinstripes, age 2 (height 92cm).
-A purple v neck jumper, age 2 (height 92cm). Its a bit bobbly but is still useable.
-A khaki green parker style coat, age 2-3 years (height 92-98cm), (slightly tatty on sleeve edges and bottom trim, small tear on the arm but it still has a lot of life in it.)
All these items have been used but are in a decent condition still. I was just going to send them to the charity shop but if anyone's interested let me know, I have uploaded photo's to my profile if you want to have a look. I am in the Medway area of Kent so you can collect if close or I can post if you can pay for the P&P.

MaryPorter · 20/05/2012 11:13

What a great thread! I have stuff but will need to look properly before I post.

I know off the top of my head that I have a bin bag full of girls shoes/boots.

And school uniform (black and red) although I may have given these to charity.

I'm off to have a sort out now.

NaughtyElephantsSquirtWater · 20/05/2012 11:54

This thread is lovely!

I have a pink tesco girls winter coat size 9-12months brand new with tag still on.

Red dress with leggings attached size 12-18months also from tesco

Steiff pull along elephant brand new and never played with (unwanted gift from estranged mother so NEED it out the house ASAp!!)

Am in Exeter for collections and also happy to offer tea and a chat. Should be able to afford postage from next friday. PM me.

Also, if I can find them, I have assorted handknitted neutral coloured and pink cardigans in random sizes (approx from 8months to about 18 months), triumph non padded bra and knickers, size 34DD unworn and still giftwrapped, pampers newborn nappies size 1, half a box of Milton sterilising tablets.

And also have big box of baby girls clothes that were lent to me by a friend who has now emigrated. They are well worn but good quality. Too large to post however.

Thingiebob · 20/05/2012 12:08

I have loads of baby clothes. Girls and some unisex 0-2 years old. Some High St and some supermarket but perfectly good quality. I am in Somerset. Pm me if you need them, I can post a bundle as well.

Selyna · 20/05/2012 12:18

If anyone has any baby girls clothes in 9-12 months I'd be happy to pay postage if you would be willing to post them to me.

I also have a sit in baby walker and 2 play mats, 1 pink big one in a flower shape and 1 blue small 'tummy time' mat. If you can come and collect them then anyone is welcome to, PM me.

TheMonster · 20/05/2012 12:25

I've got quite a few chick-lit books needing a new owner if anyone is interested.

TheMonster · 20/05/2012 12:26

And little boys pants, aged 5-6. Most are unworn as DS has moved on to boxer short style.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 20/05/2012 14:46

Maternity Clothes

Size 12 to 14. Also with a aubergine coloured ring sling. Free to a good home

youarekidding · 20/05/2012 15:20

I bloody LOVE MN. I have have a very kind offer of some cropped jeans on the way to me and I feel good because I have offered some school shorts to another poster.

What I love and thinks works about this is that I can't afford new clothes atm but by receiving some nice shorts because I feel like I've saved I can spend a few pounds passing on the favour.

I remember ages ago on a thread about someone who was on the streets of somewhere dangerous and someone helped them out saying just help someone else when your in the position.

I am currently studying for an OU degree to get a better job and promise when things are financially better for me in 3-4 years I will be joining in with donating for the xmas appeal and similar here on MN. And my promise is here in black and white and embedded on t'internet forever.

I am totally touched by the generosity and kindness being shown and offered in on MN.

revolutionconfirmed · 20/05/2012 15:34

BodyOf I can't PM on my phone but I'd love the chick lit books if they are still available.
