Flossam · 16/02/2006 22:23

To be fair, I'd not be in a fit state to be driving right now, but not holding a license at all I think I am safe!

hunkermunker · 16/02/2006 22:23

If you weren't driving when you lost your licence, why did they take it from you?

(Oh, really should stay parped but can't resist!)

soapbox · 16/02/2006 22:23

Carla - I know you are not drunk, but have you had anything at all to drink tonight?

I'm worried for you - as when you post these kind of threads everyone starts taking the pee which when you read them must leave you feeling bad and then you have a drink and then the cycle begins again

Carla - how do you see yourself in terms of your drinking now - is it getting more or less under control. What do those around you think?

Flossam · 16/02/2006 22:24

How many times have you been caught Drink driving Carla?

meggmoo · 16/02/2006 22:24

Is this a cryptic puzzle????

mummytosteven · 16/02/2006 22:25

I hope you don't mind me asking a very blunt question, Carla, but did the trip to A & E involve some type of attempt at self-harm, and are they not allowing you your licence due to mental health issues?

All I can really suggest is talking to your GP about this letter, and about steps to take to overcome whatever health issue has led to your not being able to have a licence.

hunkermunker · 16/02/2006 22:26

Is this another guess what Carla's thinking thread?

alliep30 · 16/02/2006 22:27

i think i get it.. you got drunk, and as a result ended up in A&E as it brought a medical condition to your attention... this condition means that DVLA revoked your licence under medical grounds, you've reapplied and they said no.. is that it?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/02/2006 22:28

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Double Parp from me. Until i know you arent talking about drink driving that is.......

Aero · 16/02/2006 22:29

Not meaning to critisise at all carla - apologies if it came across that way - was just trying to understand your post, which is why I said I meant that kindly.

alliep30 · 16/02/2006 22:29

i don't think she was driving.. may have banged her head whilst on the lash and they discovered epilepsy or something?

Carla are you alright??? You have my email if you need to chat.
I have to say i am completely bemused by your post, i am with the majority and not understanding you, you are not making yourself clear hun. Try and tell us rationally what has happened, when, and what the prob is.

meggmoo · 16/02/2006 22:31

Carla - I think HM was probably just as confused as most of us.

no one can help until you tell us all the facts. you'll just keep getting pasted if not

jamiesam · 16/02/2006 22:34

But Carla, some of us don't know your history and your first few posts don't explain that there was no link between drinking and driving as it were.

I'm really sorry that you've still not got your license back - do the medics fear that you could have another fit? Don't you agree with them?

alliep30 · 16/02/2006 22:34

sorry that crossed over! happened to a friend of mine, that's how i know. It's annoying not being able to drive, but as you've just found out what's wrong, surely it's best to find out how easily it can be managed and how safe you are.. you could hurt yourself and others dear.
