I know someone who called their DS Solomon, I thought it was a fantastic name, although it was mentioned on the snort thread.

I've kind of done that as well, Cod - i.e. given ds two first names which would suit as a full namw. He still has his dad's foreign surname should he wish to use it

princesspeahead · 01/11/2005 22:14

lol at ellbell!

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:21

Isn't it usually spelled Caspar? Never heard of Kasper. He's a friendly ghost - but that's cute. It was our pet name for ds when he was tiny and his white babygrows were far too long for him.
So you know the sex PPH! Are you telling?

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:23

I appear to be quite wrong. Did a Google search and there are quite a few Kaspers - mostly Danish, which is quite cool.

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:24

I thought Solomon was snortworthy when his twin was called Sesame.

teeavee · 01/11/2005 22:24

can be with a G as well, I think - had a french friend called Gaspar

he's lovely, so i love the name

I know a danish Kaspar - tall, blonde and handsome. Gaspar sounds rather like someone who has been smoking filterless Gauloises for 30 years!

Yup Aloha, it's a girl

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:29

Oh how lovely! And how very symmetrical of you too
Are you going with the name beginning with S?
When is she due again?

princesspeahead · 01/11/2005 22:42

preen preen, aren't I clever

god I can't even think which name you mean, so I guess that's a no.... [hmmmm, which name DO you mean?]
end jan. assuming I am horribly late as usual.

DinoIsBack · 01/11/2005 22:43

Can't believe it pph. It seems like no time since you were posting "Princesspeahead's prince is here"...

princesspeahead · 01/11/2005 22:46

ahhhhh dino, you remembered

I'm afraid to tell you that you are now 2 years and 2 months older than you were when you read that thread!

DinoIsBack · 01/11/2005 22:48

I know, and my own little prince (DS3) is fifteen months.

I have a good memory - I remembered motherinferior from Oxford...

princesspeahead · 01/11/2005 22:49

oh and just so I am not (justly) accused of a complete thread hijack, my dh suggested (in all seriousness) such gems as

Aubrey
Valentine
Dudley
Godfrey ("but wouldn't be great to be able to shout "God!" for your kid in the playground?" "uh, NO")....

He now gets presented with a REALLY short shortlist to choose from.
Although Gladstone - ds1 has got Somerset as a middle name (DH's favourite county and cricket club, sigh)

CountessDracula · 01/11/2005 22:55

I LOVE Valentine

Valentine Dyall, the man in black etc

My fave Aunt's middle name was Valentine

Aubrey, Dudley and Godfrey.......eurgh!

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:57

Dudley!

aloha · 01/11/2005 22:57

Studly Dudley
