chloe55 · 12/09/2005 14:29

chloe55 · 12/09/2005 14:29

Oops sorry thanks suzy

Lonelymum · 12/09/2005 14:29

You really don't wan to know. I spent all yesterday on and off catching up on that thread and it is STILL going!!! Honestly, you have a life to live, it is a beautiful day out there, don't even go to the Vaunda thread (also known as How much do you ignore your child?)

SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 14:30

Exactly.

ssd · 12/09/2005 14:30

Thanks for the link Suzy but the thread is 1154 posts long and I haven't got the time (or energy) to reads it, so can anyone fill me in?

OP posts:
SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 14:32

Click on flip this thread, and just read a few posts - it is boring, really.

munz · 12/09/2005 14:33

that's what i'm after SSD - did start it but not got time to read it all - cliff notes version anyone? did notice thou she'd been boasting about her DS?

ssd · 12/09/2005 14:34

Is she new or a troll?

OP posts:
Gameboy · 12/09/2005 14:34

It all appears to be my fault [proud icon]

I started an innocent and now it's kicked off (apols SW...) as a result of a woman called Vaunda telling us her life story and ruffling a few feathers about stories of how she is bringing up her 7 year old child in a very mini adult way...

  • Pictures have been posted which seem to validate her...
  • Inconsistencies have been highlighted
  • Past posts have been dregded up
  • Cod has changed her name to BeastBosoms
  • A TV fell on someone's head AND
  • the Mumsnet Philosophy has been quoted....

BUT

It's still raging......

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

(Sorry!)

beastbosoms · 12/09/2005 14:34

I tried to read it and have just given uip

munz · 12/09/2005 14:35

tv on someone's head? now GB what have u been told about throwing things at ppl! he he he.

not another troll - thought the boys seemed a bit 'old' on the search I did quickly.

ssd · 12/09/2005 14:36

God I'll need to read this! Anyone want to look after ds2 for a few hours!

OP posts:
ssd · 12/09/2005 14:42

Well, stated reading the thread and now losing the will to live, Vaunda and her ds give me the willies.

OP posts:
munz · 12/09/2005 14:47

me to but a) how did santa come into it and b) i'm sill confused!

suzywong · 12/09/2005 14:48

is it cod that's beastbosoms now

so at what point did the suspicions get raised about V?

chloe55 · 12/09/2005 14:49

Hmmm, read majority of thread and she does sound slightly moronic, I actually think I would have been better doing the wages as I should be doing than reading that thread - I guess I asked for it though!

Aragon · 12/09/2005 14:56

She sounds okay to me. Liked the pictures of her DS - he looks a lovely normal cheeky little boy.

zippitippitoes · 12/09/2005 15:05

I think she sounds fine, just done a rare thing and not crumpled under the onslaught

noddyholder · 12/09/2005 15:10

where are the pictures?

melissasmummy · 12/09/2005 15:11

As a dental nurse I do have to query her point that he said a sentance at 10 months. They are simply not developed enough at such a young age to put a sentance together. The movements required by the lips & tongue & the sound of a word from the vocal cords don't co-ordinate readily. Hence babbling!

Children often say daddy before mummy (not in all cases, I know) because it is simply easier for them to say. I havent read all the thread, but I do think she needs to let her son have more me-time. Quite frankly I feel that a 3 yr old shouldn't have to be concerned with the twin towers or war, more like what toy he want to play with next!

donnie · 12/09/2005 15:15

vaunda maintains that becuase she always gave her dd loads of attention and never let him be 'ignored' he is super clever, was fluently speaking at 10 months or something and can perform life saving operations or very nearly anyway.....or something!!!!me, I just ignore my kids as much as the next person.....

suzywong · 12/09/2005 15:16

who was it we all got our pitchforks sharpened for because there was a suspcion it was dadslip at it again?
