As a dental nurse I do have to query her point that he said a sentance at 10 months. They are simply not developed enough at such a young age to put a sentance together. The movements required by the lips & tongue & the sound of a word from the vocal cords don't co-ordinate readily. Hence babbling!
Children often say daddy before mummy (not in all cases, I know) because it is simply easier for them to say. I havent read all the thread, but I do think she needs to let her son have more me-time. Quite frankly I feel that a 3 yr old shouldn't have to be concerned with the twin towers or war, more like what toy he want to play with next!
