In hall way (have no stairs/landing) we have an African style picture - lots of reds and greens.

Demented · 28/08/2005 21:57

I've got lots of frames with no pictures in! Will get round to the pictures one day. My other pictures are by a Glasgow artist (prints I hasten to add) she paints buildings, I'll see if I can find her on the net.

Thomcat · 28/08/2005 21:58

When we moved in I thought i'd have a gallery of framed pics of friends, family, us, lottie, mad quirky fun pics nicely framed. Never got round to it, am waiting to move again in the new year so will do it then!

We just bought 2 prints actually, one form Conran shop called Urban Cowboy and the other from Habitat called Unity.

On the hall - diamond shaped mirror in rustic rectangular frame by the front door, a Monet print and an original picture of Cape St Vincent in Portugal (bought on DH and my first hols together when bf/gf).
Stairs that v. common 3 dromedaries and a donkey print (quite large).
Landing - a couple of large, square black and white pictures of a flower from Ikea.

Hulababy · 28/08/2005 21:59

Going to read this with interest now. When we move we are going to have one hallway, two flights of stiras and 2 landings, as well as more rooms - so will need many more pics than have now!

Nemo1977 · 28/08/2005 21:59

Bozza · 28/08/2005 21:59

Demented · 28/08/2005 22:01

Avril Paton

We also have framed a Pacha 1999 print (pacha is wicked, amazing club in Ibiza) and we also have an amnesia poster framed (another one great club in Ibiza)

WestCountryLass · 28/08/2005 22:08

At the bottom of the stairs we have this weird Picasso print, further along the hall we have a print from Ikea, its like blocks of colour which we were given by a friend so we have to have it on display but it is a nice picture for a hall. ON our landing we have a batik from Sri Lanka that we picked up when we got married.

Twiglett · 28/08/2005 22:12

I don't like prints in general

have a painting DH picked up in Vietnam (very Modigliani in style)

wedding photo and a couple of DS with my father

and a couple of illustrations from a job I did donkeys ago ... chalk on brown parcel paper .. amazing ... they are actually prints but we only made 6 copies of them ..

skerriesmum · 28/08/2005 22:47

Those big wavy IKEA mirrors, three in a row on one wall. On the other, two largish framed prints, one Chagall, one of Japanese carp from a gallery, and caricature of husband(!)
Had planned to put some framed calendar prints up the stair walls but now we're moving house and can't be arsed!

misdee · 28/08/2005 22:48

i have the ikea mirror and some sticker things. the back hall is covered with dh everton fc stuff.

Heathcliffscathy · 28/08/2005 22:54

fairyfly · 28/08/2005 23:07

i meant my drawings, not photos of myself ( that would be weird)

Heathcliffscathy · 28/08/2005 23:13

not self absorbed...enviably creative...altho i did think you meant pics of you ff, and had visions of slightly beckhamesque black and white moody shots on your walls!

sorry that i'm not answering question, i have not had a hall to put pics up in (renting furnished flat) but now have new place and am v interested in thread as v soon will have the lovely problem of what to put up in hall...
