Mrs McClusky, I went to Swansea too and LOVED going to Barons on a wednesday - used to buy stupildy short cord mini skirts and gaudy cord flares from that weird little shop whose name i cant remember specially for Funk Night at Barons! Your post took me right back!!

I used to be mates with Nick wwho owned that shop! He is still in swansea running night clubs!
When were you there geraldine?

MrsMcCluskey · 04/03/2009 21:02

Oh see on your profile you would have been there after me.
It was fab there wasn't it?

god i loved it so much, I had such a brilliant time!! My closest 3 mates now are people i lived with in the Student Village!! How cool that you were mates with the bloke who owned the shop!!! I love that you knew the shop i was on about, what was it called?? Barons was brilliant, they always used to have san miguel bottles on offer where i was there, so we used to drink that and dance in our flares......and get a taxi home.....all on a fiver

i was in Hendre too! number 24.
Wish I could remember the name of the shop, it only opened in my last year and I bought a lovley a line brown suede mini skirt and a cheese clth top from there.
Nik was so cool, he still has his long curly hair!
A good night out on a fiver - those were the days!

I was in the flats, 162 and another i cant remember - was great...remember the horses the randomly used to clip clop through there in the early morning sometimes, and youd get sleepy hungover students holding out apples for them out their bedroom windows?
I will ask my mate what the shop was called....shell remember....
