Its my first one! My sister thought i was crazy then when she saw it she said "why isnt it purple?" I feel bad now! My 14 year old nieces thought it was hysterical and hsve both text me since to ask if thry can come to London and get tattoods. Their mother seems to have convieniently forgot to tell thrm about the one on her butt she got as soon as she turned 16. My friends wife found out she has a brain tumour this week shes younger than me and that deffo spurred me on.

No children here but if a boy child had come along i would have called him Nate without a doubt!

It's great Each, it doesn't need to be purple., I just wondered why he wouldn't do it.

Someone on face book just asked me ehat it is this is why i never think of Prince as being mainstream. Shes my age as well.

I've been listening to alphabet street too. I just took it on face value.

I do love the way he has excuse me, just the fucking best.

maybe just watched the clip showing prince doing creep, so good and he seemed to really feel the lyrics 'want you to notice when I'm not around' well I think we all do now for sure

I preferred Prince doing it to Radiohead. Although I did love the comment posted by Radiohead when YouTube posted that Prince had blocked the footage: "well tell him to unblock it, it's our...song!"

Well done Each! It looks great. Where did you get it done? I'm in London and not sure whether to go to the local place down the road as she didn't know what I meant when I said I wanted the Prince symbol. Oh dear, the youth of today!

I love the Arsenio performance Tonight. Have recommended it to a few people who've been a bit 'meh' about Prince, and they've been blown away. Especially love the end where he slides into the crowd and those women just go for him. Imagine all of us transported back 25 years ...

West one tattoo two minues from Tottenham Court Road. They were fantastic and the lad walked me to the tube after! Very basic but they know what they are doing just not that unto Prince i guess. It was £70 i dont know how much tattoos cost.

Dh is out tonight, so I have just watched Purple Rain - again! Takes me right back. I had the shirt, the high waist trousers, the boots and a re-purposed tux that I'd embellished with chains around one shoulder and silver studs on the other (and later, when I was into Lovesexy, a mirrored heart on the sleeve/shoulder). Also had the hair and the hooped earrings - and far too much make-up!

I was studying in a very proper college at the time and you were expected to wear office wear every day, but on mufti day I went in all 'Princed-up' and my teacher was literally speechless, as were most of my classmates. Mind you, I am 5' 7' and weighed only 7 1/2 stone at the time, so it was a look I could carry off. I wouldn't even attempt part of it, not even for fancy dress purposes these days. The festival I'm off to in a couple of weeks has a 'Stars in Their Eyes' theme for the last day and there's absolutely no way I could carry off Prince these days.

Daftly, typical teenager back then, I avoided having my photo taken, so there aren't any photos of me in my get-up or I'd have shared. So different these days. If I was a teen now I'd probably be taking constant selfies!

Thanks Each' I think £70 is pretty good, the lady at my local place said £60 was the minimum no matter how small.

They said it wouldve been double that in Soho.

I will have to research tattooists nearby - unfortunately nowhere near London. Quite like this one ^^

I'm quite surprised that these tattoists haven't had other people asking for Prince tattoos, when you read stuff online it sounds like loads of people are getting them done.

Tonight that Arsenio Hall clip is awesome. He looks like he is enjoying himself so much.

Maybe I am really regretting not having any photos taken back then.

Finally got round to watching A Purple Reign which was on BBC4 soon after Prince died. Made me cry all over again, but It was very interesting. And I'm still working my way through all the magazines that I bought that had Prince in. Still so much to find out about him and his music, there's loads of stuff I didn't know and loads of songs I haven't even heard yet.

Tonight just watch the creep clip. God, that's amazing. I can't believe that man is just dust now. It made me cry all over again. He was so alive & now that light has gone out there is nothing like him. What are we to do?!
