Here we are, a week after Prince suddenly passed away. This is a thread to grieve, share your memories, thoughts, stories, videos and songs.

How many people do you reckon he slept with? wishes I'd been one of them-. I read somewhere he had 29 affairs.

Casey i was at Hop Farm. It was all that and more. It was, as an article post on here captured it perfectly, totally life affirming. I saw him about 6 times in total & each time was better. After he left the stage at Hop Farm, after about 21/2 hours plus 3 encours, and only because it was the sound curfew, my friend & I just walked around in a kind of Prince induced funk for hours! We could talk! We couldn't believe what we had just seen. He kept saying 'this is real music, this is real music'. I wish I'd seen him at the small venues a couple of years ago with 3rdeyegirl. Hopefully the yoof will now learn how brilliant he was.

God knows how many but I have been wondering about how he would chat someone up. He was so anti booze I can't imagining him in a bar offering to buy a drink. I can't imagining approaching anyone at all do you think he did it with Sheens Easton?

Mummymafia how lucky you were, I was messerised for the whole 2 hours, even though it was in you tube I still didn't want to have a loo break! Yes I love how he kept referring to them as musicians, typically humble but lovely, all female band so cool, wish wish wish I had been there, but was in Ibiza at the time...if there is one thing I am definitely going to do more of now it's go to more live music, it's not been easy the past few years with 2 very young children but my soul also needs to be nourished, and as he said the 'old school' need to educate the 'new school' so I also owe it to the dc's

Dornish I know what you mean, I actually can't stand to watch bgt and X factor type stuff any more it just all seems so rubbish, just give me my Prince albums to listen to and I'm happy!
Now I really must catch up with this thread because I've missed about two days worth of posts I reckon!

Dh is going to Glastonbury with his mate, I agreed to look after the kids, but now I hear about all the prince tributes I want to go!!! If anyone has any spare tickets I'll pay full price...am also changing my name Wink

Never got to see him live either, was never remotely near the right place at the right time. Gutted I never will now.
I can't help thinking once would not have been enough either!

Have just read the Matt Thorne biography and he saw him live so many times. It is a good read but heavily focused on the recordings, not much about his personality. Does go right up to 2013 I think so useful.

I remember that destiny - I was going to post a link last night cos I thought that might be the performance referenced on your other thread. She did a decent job I think. But she's no prince Grin

I can't link properly somehow but I came across a jay Leno interview on tube which was really great - it showed the prankster side of prince as he'd pranked Leno before the show & was really amused with himself! It's a nice interview - I think it's listed under late night show or late night chat or something along those lines if any on else can find it.
