Gigs you are going to in 2015?

2014 was good for gigs for me, but I've got no one well-known on the horizon until March (Stranglers at the Roundhouse). Anyone got anything good coming up?

I'm having second thoughts about Killing Joke now. The new album came out today and I'm not really getting into it. It's way too heavy. I don't mind a bit of metal but it's neither one thing nor another. Perhaps it's a grower?

I'm watching Donovan next month. Couldn't believe that he was coming to my town so snapped up tickets for that. I think that is the first gig for me this year...

I saw Tom Robinson on Friday and he was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect as I am a fan from way back and don't know newer stuff, but he was really chatty, introduced the support band and really engaged with the audience. He was out in the foyer 5 mins after the gig to do signings. I got my 37yr old copy of Power In The Darkness signed with a personal message. If you are thinking of seeing him I highly recommend it.

I saw Patti Smith on Friday at the Roundhouse. A mate had a spare ticket and I thought it might be interesting. Wouldn't call myself a big fan, exactly, always liked Horses but went for curiosity's sake more than anything.

Oh. My. God. She was AMAZING. I found myself thinking that I actually need never go to another gig again, because there is no way anyone is ever going to be as astonishing. Blew my tiny mind. What a woman.

Patti Smith is definitely on my list. All these things come at the same time! I haven't got anything now till Theatre of Hate in December as I have decided against Killing Joke.
