What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
It is like mini banking. I'm able to teach my child about finances, bank transfers, using card to shop and most importantly hiwnyou can earn money by setting up tasks.

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?
Independence of using a card for shopping by themselves.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
I've ordered physical cards for me and my child. I top up their card and also pay when they finish their assigned tasks.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
I'd like to see some financial products that kids can use such as fixed savings of say 10% out of what they receive in their account. Also if they could create virtual gift cards to gift their friends on birthdays etc.

Nothing really, found it a little complicated to set up

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

For children who dont have the a mobile phone they cant access the app - it doesnt work on tablet and it isnt like online banking portal you can log into form a laptop so she missed out.

I also personally find the app difficult to navigate - it took me ages to work out how to get back to her account to find her pin number after she lost it and to set it up for contactless payments.

Liked idea of child been able to spend online and see how there money has come in/gone over month

Liked having a card, seeing money on the app, liked been able to take it right from his money rather than giving me money then me buying things

I just added some money and my son saw on the app he had it and could spend it

Some way to properly have both apps on one device and see on a website too

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?

I like the ease of money transfer, the ability to know what my child was spending (and where he was!), and the fact that the junior account while separate from my account was still linked to mine

he loved the card, using contactless, thinking about ways to spend his money, calculating how much he had to save for various things

As my sons main account, he has a savings account but this was his spending account. We didn’t use the challenges

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

a junior app that educates them on spending and budgeting, or helping them to set goals by themselves. A kind of game interface for learning about finances would have been the icing on the cake! But overall we are all enjoying using Revolut!

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?

Super easy to transfer money into my children's accounts. Literally fool proof and takes seconds. I also like the fact I can track what the boys are spending.

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?

My son's enjoyed having their own contactless card bank cards, they are more independent and grown up. Easy to use for them as they have additional needs.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
I set up weekly goals to earn more allowance for which they tick off in the app. Promotes self motivation skills.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

At this time no. We will be continuing with it as it's great.

Being able to see my child's spending, set limits etc.

He liked getting a physical card.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
He's only 7 so doesn't really use a wallet/bag so I had hold of the card in my purse but he asked to use it if wanted to buy something. This meant I generally had control of it anyway, so a lot of the features were slightly redundant. I think this is more a great idea for older kids (secondary).

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
The app is not the most user friendly - it took me a long time to find the area where I could manage the junior card - once I was there it was fine but yes, that could be an area of improvement.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
I liked that I could have an account for each child and easily add money to each account. Plus that they can't spend money unless it's on their card!

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior? Having a "credit card" that they could use in shops!

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior? For me to reward them for good behaviour, any chores completed etc. They were then able to use the card to spend their money.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
Nothing springs to mind.

It was relatively easy to use and was teaching my child about the value of money

The app was quite hard to get my head around initially.

my daughter had her own card but I could control when she used it and she couldn’t spend what she didn’t have.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
The card is easy to use and the ease of setting up weekly transfers for pocket money saves me having to add it virtually to a spreadsheet. My son was out and about and found himself without enough money to change his plans like his friends. I was able to immediately give him the extra money despite being 10 miles away.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

ipad/laptop apps, the ability to open a child’s account without a parent having to open a current account.

I found the signup process more complicated than I expected and never got round to setting up the account - apologies, life got in the way!

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
That I could send money straight away but see where it was being spent (and how much!). My child was on a trip away with school, and it was so much easier to keep track of spending whilst she was gone. It was also easy to stop when it was lost!

I think having independence to spend as needed, not having to manage coins and notes (including foreign currency)

I can't think of anything!

What did you like most about Revolut Junior? I like the freedom of adding money and seeing how it was spent by DS
What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior? DS was most excited to have his own debit card like his older brother

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior? I used it to regularly add pocket money, but disappointingly only seemed to be able to set up a regular payment onto my card and not DS's card. I use a lot of money/finance apps but this one didn't feel very user friendly. Unclear what the challenges were and how it affected the money.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering? Savings, I thought they would be pots of money, so if saving up for something expensive, money can be put aside. Makes it more enjoyable and a better understanding of money.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?

I liked that I could see immediately what they were spending and where, the ease of transferring funds, the challenges (although my kids didn't think I'd offered enough money to make it worth their while!)

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?

My 7 year old loved having his own card. My 11 year old liked having the app so she could easily check her balance.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?

I set savings goals, which they liked, and they liked spending on their cards. I also set challenges but they didn't bother to complete them

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

As others have said, my 7 year old doesn't have a phone so he couldn't use the app. If he'd been able to he may have made more use of the challenges. A dual app so you can switch between the two may help. I found it hard to access the junior accounts on my phone, a link from the home screen would have helped. I am unclear about charges but I wouldn't pay for the service. It doesn't add enough more than a standard bank account to justify the fee.

It was very easy to set up my account and link my child’s account to it. I liked that we were able to offer rewards for different tasks / chores

They loved that they were able to pay for things in the shop as it made them feel very grown up. They also liked the idea that they could earn extra cash!
How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
We used it to talk about savings and as an incentive to do tasks etc. As they are only 6 I used the app feature and showed it to them to look at their balance etc.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
A more child friendly / iPad friendly app for children who don’t yet have their own phone.

I liked the fact that it nestles in an existing account ad transfers are very easy to do.

he liked having a supply of money. He already has a Metro kids card, which he loves using, but he always wanted Revolut because he loves to play with my app, tracking crypto etc. he likes the cool branding and it being born online.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
He paid for treats after school and also looked around at setting up dds.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
crypto for kids! Actually I hate it but maybe tracking its collapse is a lesson in capitalism itself.
I think the age range is a big one and wonder if there should be two targeted differently.
foreign currency is one of best adult features. Could it be on <18 version?

by the way - I used a different email address for my Revolut testing than my mumsnet account. Problem?

I opened one of these for a 16 year old - only I can add money to it, grandparents can’t - they have to send it to me and I then pay it to her. You can add another parent - but only if you upgrade to a monthly subscription - i can see why this is done, to stop unknown people sending children money - however surely for older teens there should be more flexibility rather than everything going via the parent. Perhaps or should be separated into younger children and 16-18 year olds? It’s very restrictive and I don’t think she will be using it other than when we are on holiday. She has a nationwide young persons account which is run like a normal current account, and much better and gives her more control.

I’ve tried to close the account as I found it too annoying to use but it says I’ll be charged if I close it. Just another frustration to add it my little list!
