Created for Revolut

This is the feedback thread for Mumsnet users who have been testing
Revolut Junior.

Testers, you can now share your feedback! Please do so by responding to the questions below on this thread, as well as filling in the survey that we have emailed to you.

  1. What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
  2. What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?
  3. How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
  4. Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

Here’s what Revolut has to say:

“Meet next generation finance with Revolut Junior.

Revolut Junior is designed for kids and teens between the ages of 6 and 17 with a focus on teaching them financial skills that will last a life-time. Junior was created by Revolut to enable children to learn money management skills through tailored money tools, a personal account, and a card. It gives kids the freedom to earn, manage and spend money in an environment that's completely controlled by the parent.”

All testers who leave the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
The chance to direct debit pocket money and show my daughter how it adds up if left.
Also the chance to offer rewards for chores although post on my child who would rather not get the money than tidying her room :)

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?
Independence and tapping the phone for Apple Pay.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
Mostly saving weekly pocket money for a big holiday.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
Saving options with incentives.
Allowing more ‘trusted adults’ to pay in - other parent/grandparents etc when allowed by the parent account holder.

Overall impressed.

Can anyone help?? Tried to find who to contact to cancel this within the trial so I don’t incur costs but can’t find anything and can’t speak to a human at Revolut .

GraceEMumsnet · 19/07/2023 17:16

Hello @GraceEMumsnet please could I have an email about this also?

Faunanflora · 22/07/2023 09:35

@GraceEMumsnet from the thread it is clear that many people want to downgrade the account or close it now that the trial has finished, without incurring the fine. Can you please let us know, on here, how to do it?

fourmonthstogo · 23/07/2023 10:01

@GraceEMumsnet
I've just been charged for premium, and it wants another large payment to cancel this. I thought it had been dealt with ages ago! Can you please help?

GraceEMumsnet · 25/07/2023 10:54

Hi @fourmonthstogo @Faunanflora @seaduck and anyone else who would like to downgrade - please respond to the product test email chain and share the email of your Revolut account and I will downgrade your accounts free of charge 😊

I've been using the account with my daughters for a year now and I have to say we really love it. They can check their balance on their tablets, they love that they have their own debit cards and we had no issues signing up, creating their accounts or receiving their debit cards.

We will definitely be continuing with their accounts now the trial has ended.
