What did you like most about Revolut Junior? I loved that they couldnt spend what they didnt have. I could happily send my child off for the day and know that he couldnt over spend or get in to trouble that way but if he did help I could ping money into his account within seconds! He felt more responsible and independent and I felt anxiety free!
What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior? The card! He loved being able to tap his card and also he liked checking on his account to see if he could buy something or if he needed to save some more.
How did you and your child use Revolut Junior? we used it abroad as well as at home. In shops, for saving and for setting up a DD
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering? I would like a fun app for the kids.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior? I created some challenges for my son to earn some money, transferred money, and he used it to buy in shops.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering? A cheaper or free option without all the features, and just the option for a child to have their own card.

Child being able to have their own card but transparent spending. Ability to set up regular "pocket money" transfers. Challenges.

Liked having own card with their name on it and choices about what they spent.
How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
They had the card and they discussed ahead of time what sort of things they could spend their money on. Went out a couple of times with friends and they bought stuff like smoothies, little stuff etc.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
I don't think we made the most of the Challenge functionality, I wasn't clear if I could approve it in-app. There could be more motivational / budgeting stuff like that, which motivates them to save and spend wisely etc.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior? It was so easy to transfer money into my son's account & you get notifications when they're spending, so no horrid surprises!
What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior? He enjoyed having his own contactless card, he felt more independent.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering? I think Revolut have it covered, its a great app & we will continue with it!

What did you like most about Revolut Junior? I liked that I could give my children indepence by earning money that could easily be transferred. They could access their money without carrying cash around and I could monitor their spending on the app. I also liked that in an emergency I could send funds across.
What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior? My children liked having a contactless card and liked that they had access to money without always having to have cash on them.
How did you and your child use Revolut Junior? We used it as a way to add pocket money and as a way to add emergency funds.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
It would be nice if it could have the features to exchange currency so that my children could spend their money abroad and in the airport.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
The ability to set Challenges and for the child to let you know when they’d completed one.

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?
DS2 liked being able to ask for a new Challenge. DS1 liked being able to use a card. They both liked to feel independent.

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?
I set them both Challenges. DS1 ignored them, DS2 completed them and asked for more. Both used the cards to spend money instead of me doing it on their behalf, which they loved. They have both set themselves goals but they are ridiculously big and unachievable.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
I can’t think of anything, but the fee is far too high for me to consider continuing as I think there are much better options out there for less or even free.

1. The fact it helped give my daughter a little financial independence and understand more about the money she has and what she can do with it.
2. My daughter loved the fact she had her own card and was able to use it in the shops like a grown up using her own PIN or contactless really excited her.
3. We use it for her pocket money and I like the challenges feature- the fact she can see that she can earn more money completing certain tasks is great. Being able to set a spending limit has also helped her understand the concept of saving and not spending all her money on one thing.
4. Although they don’t provide interest I think having some kind of savings goals in addition to the challenges would be good.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?

My two daughters could use it easily abroad and were happy to go to the local shop and pick up items for the family - bread and milk etc knowing that we could easily pay them back. Gave them independence.

I also liked that I could see what they had spent money on.

Also liked being able to have a co parent so me and my husband could both monitor spending etc

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?

They liked being able to link it to their phone - apple wallet. They liked the challenges and enjoyed being able to request money (which most of the time we rejected!)

How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?

We used it for pocket money/allowance but also they would buy food items etc and we could pay them back.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

Not that I can think of.

I liked the way it was easy to top up and the fact I get a notification about transactions.

When my daughter went to town with friends. She used it to buy lunch and shopping.
Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
Free use as I would not continue with this card as I would not want to pay monthly. I would rather give my children the extra money than pay for a monthly card. It's a shame it costs so much each month.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?
Being able to set challenges and rewarding money once completed. My children have never been so helpful or put their clothes away with so little reminding!

Being able to earn money and see the money in their account area. They liked having challenges but mostly to get the money. They did like having cards but mostly they liked seeing their money and how they'd earned it.

Mostly I set challenges and they completed them to earn money.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
My biggest problem was that my youngest does not have a phone and I couldn't put the app on his tablet. I couldn't do it on my phone as I had my app to set the challenges. I would say either make the app for tablets as well as phones or make it possible for children to access their accounts through the parent account.

What did you like most about Revolut Junior?

I loved the features, including the notifications of transactions, savings goals and challenges, I loved how easy it was to transfer the money across to my children and how they could take responsibility for managing their own money, moving it to their goal to save for occasions or larger purchases.

What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?

my children loved the challenges, they kept asking me to set challenges for them like washing the car or weeding the garden.


How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?

I used Revolut junior to transfer met to my children, to allow them to spend this on their cards when I was not with them, such as days out with their friends. I also used it to set them challenges such as washing the card for a monetary reward.

I also transferred birthday money got one of my children so they could spend this independently on a shopping trip.

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?

It would be great if there was an option for this under the free Revolut account as they premium fees are quite high.

Very easy to use app, extremely easy to transfer money into my son's account. The spending limit option is brilliant.

We just used it in shops, we didn't get a chance to use it online as he lost it the second time he took it out with him!!

Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?
I think there needs to be an option to freeze the card if it gets lost/stolen. I had to close the whole account.

1.What did you like most about Revolut Junior?


I like how easy it was to transfer money and to see the transactions.
The challenge feature was good, and although we haven’t used it yet, the saving goals feature looks good. I like the ability to add a co-parent, but haven’t tried this yet.


2.What did your child/children like most about Revolut Junior?


My daughter loved having her own card and she also loved the challenges.
She kept asking me to set her more. Going forward it would be easy to link challenge tasks to pocket money payments.


3.How did you and your child use Revolut Junior?


My daughter used it to buy something online and we also tried to use it in a shop, but I hadn’t realised I needed to allow contactless payments so it didn’t work, but should do next time.


4.Are there any additional features that you think Revolut Junior could start offering?


My daughter is only 9 and does not have her own phone. I was able to put her app onto my iPad for her to see. It would be better to have an iPad optimised app. I’m confused about the costs associated with the junior account but I would be reluctant to pay a monthly fee for it. The interface between the main account and the junior account could be made easier. I initially found it quite difficult to navigate between the two as it wasn’t obvious where the ‘hub’ was, but have found that now.

clearer adult/child account usage. Ability to have junior app work on the same phone as the adult app.

Being able to transfer money to my teenager on the fly - if she was at a shop and wanted something I could just send it straight through

I don't think we really explored all its features - we basically used it so I could transfer her money and she could spend without having to carry cash

As above, I don't think we properly explored the existing features! It did what we needed it to do.

I liked being able to give the children a set amount of holiday spending money rather than be pestered for ice creams, Souvenirs etc

That they didn't have to ask for money, they checked their balance and decided for themselves if they were buying it. (Whatever it was)

Different styles of card and the ability to personalise them.
My DD really enjoyed the fact that I could send her messages and GIFs.

Loved that I was able to add money as and when needed as well as seeing when my son spent money and where!

We used this together and gave us a chance to talk about money and how we earn and spend it - it was great to have this tool to help with those conversations!

DD could use the card herself and had to make choices but I could see what she had spent.

DD enjoyed the responsibility of zapping her own card, but also spending her own money.

We went to our local shopping centre, and she went into her favourite shops. She knew how much she could spend and then had a lovely timing making choices.

I found the app frustrating.
