We’re looking for Mumsnet users to test the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser

We’re looking for Mumsnet users to try out the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser with their family and share their feedback.

Here’s what Hotel Chocolat has to say: “The Velvetiser is the ultimate go-to machine for creating barista-grade velvety chocolate drinks. From indulgent hot chocolates, delectable milkshakes to boozy cocktails – create your favourites in just 2.5 minutes. Whatever your lifestyle, the Velvetiser delivers.”

Selected testers will receive The Velvetiser in their choice of colour, 2 Pod Cups and their chosen selection of product sachets.

Testers will be asked to use the Velvetiser to create hot and cold drinks (using Hotel Chocolat recipes or by creating their own) and then share their thoughts on the process. Following testing the Velvetiser, selected testers will need to give their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey.

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

If you missed out on this, and are a Hotel Chocolat member, you can currently get £35 off the regular price.

Reeking of envy.

SoupDragon · 18/09/2021 09:18

I'm actually a bit disappointed with it.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 18/09/2021 09:47

Oh no @SoupDragon - in what way?

KittenKong · 18/09/2021 09:48

Mine must’ve got lost in the post...

The drink's not hot enough for me so I have to microwave it. I'm not keen on the flavoured chocolate packets (which are not recyclable) It's not as velvetty as I'd hoped but I'm going to try it with full fat milk to see if that's better. Ask probably just personal taste I think.

It does a fine job of frothing milk for coffee though! And I used it to make a mug of Ovaltine so it works with that too.

EastWestWhosBest · 18/09/2021 21:46

I know what you mean about the heat. The packets are recyclable though. They are paper.
I’m using oat milk and it’s lovely.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 19/09/2021 08:41

Oh that is definitely disappointing!

Specifically say on the sachets that they aren't recyclable. I assume because of the waxy coating.
SoupDragon · 19/09/2021 09:44

It says they're working on it and will be "100% recyclable by 2021" but the sachets I have aren't and it's late 2021. Alternatively I can drive to my local store and hand them in (no idea where that is!)

SoupDragon · 19/09/2021 09:45

Anyway, mine are all minor gripes or down to personal taste really.

EastWestWhosBest · 19/09/2021 10:22

Oh you’re right, it says ‘don’t recycle’ on the sachet.
