We’re looking for Mumsnet users to test the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser

We’re looking for Mumsnet users to try out the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser with their family and share their feedback.

Here’s what Hotel Chocolat has to say: “The Velvetiser is the ultimate go-to machine for creating barista-grade velvety chocolate drinks. From indulgent hot chocolates, delectable milkshakes to boozy cocktails – create your favourites in just 2.5 minutes. Whatever your lifestyle, the Velvetiser delivers.”

Selected testers will receive The Velvetiser in their choice of colour, 2 Pod Cups and their chosen selection of product sachets.

Testers will be asked to use the Velvetiser to create hot and cold drinks (using Hotel Chocolat recipes or by creating their own) and then share their thoughts on the process. Following testing the Velvetiser, selected testers will need to give their feedback via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey.

Don’t be so ridiculous. You do know there will be a feedback thread before too long, so the people who you feel shouldn’t have posted will not only be posting, but will be encouraged to do so.

This is the nature of product testing. It’s far more childish to be annoyed that others were selected and have dared to say so when you weren’t.

Out of interest, how are people meant to answer the much asked question here of "has anyone heard" if you aren't allowed to answer "I've heard"🤔

It's really not.

I wasn't selected. But now know I don't need to check to see if I was because I know people have been chosen.

Well it's a chilly day here so I have just gone online and ordered one.
I don't know if it's OK to post this but there is a code for £20 off which is VEL20OFF.

@sqirrelfriends it does work. No idea how it compares to a velvetiser (I'm not actually 100% sure what the difference is because the description sounds the same) but it made creamy hot chocolate. As long as you don't want it lava hot that is!

People aren’t allowed to be a little bit pleased about something nice like that?
If they had posted ‘I’ve got one, screw you! Off you go and cry into your inferior hot chocolate’ you might have a point.

I am curious as to selection though. I’ve entered a lot and never been selected. So either I’m not entering correctly or they don’t like my income bracket.

There was something about vouchers too. So they’ve also been selected and sent out?

Surely they pick people from all income categories and various family sizes/types in order to get a good variety of testers?

In the questionnaire thing to enter it said would you be interested in receiving vouchers.

I thought they’d select at random but yes it makes sense to get a representative sample

I would have thought that too. They will want a mix of ages, lifestyles and income brackets.
