Pink Parcel and bettybox have asked us to find Mumsnetters to test their monthly subscription boxes with their daughters. To take part, you’ll need to be a Mumsnetter who uses femcare products and/or have a daughter using femcare products.

Some information from Pink Parcel and bettybox below:

Pink Parcel: “Pink Parcel is the UK’s No1 period subscription box that unites periods and pampering to make your time of the month fuss-free and fabulous. Delivered to your door monthly on a day of your choosing each box contains over £40 of femcare and beauty products including a luxe curation of cult beauty brands, herbal teas and artisan chocolates. You can select your choice of tampons, pads or a mix of both from all your trusted femcare brands. This super convenient box ensures you’ll never run out of femcare products again.”

bettybox: “bettybox is the perfect pick me up for girls. As well as all their trusted femcare products, they can expect sweet treats, make-up, stationery and more all from brands specially selected for teens. Choose from all your favourite femcare brands and receive your monthly box with treats worth up to £30 delivered for free directly to your door. You’ll never have to worry about running out of pads again!”

If selected to take part, you’ll need to give your feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey. All who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Please click here to sign up.

Thanks and good luck!

Well I don't know why you just didn't email them then if you felt so strongly. Maybe get yourself an artisan bar, give it a whirl, let the endorphins take overGrin

specialsubject · 08/02/2018 21:47

Chocolate is food. Food is good. Therefore chocolate is good. Too much chocolate, like too much food, is not good though.

Food doesn't 'help with blood loss'. I think leeches do that.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 08/02/2018 21:52

Sorry you feel patronised. I meant that genuinely for what it's worth - I do hope you find the box enjoyable. I don't personally feel the need for chocolate when I have my period, but I know it's a common craving. I myself feel patronised by pseudo scientific marketing though.

I think posting on here is probably more effective than emailing them, especially as I'd never heard about the product until this appeared.

inashizzle · 08/02/2018 22:11

No worries - I didn't mean that I felt personally patronised. The product is being offered as a trial and being advertised. Everyone's entitled to an opinion but dissecting, over reading inevitably will get jarring ; Mumsnet will bring different takes, it's just why bring threads down Hmm

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 08/02/2018 22:15

Well, I think that this thread is probably offering the company quite useful feedback really. It's not the first criticism they've had, so I doubt they're surprised that some posters aren't impressed, and if their marketing was circling what the ASA would find acceptable, then better they know and change it surely?

WrenNatsworthy · 09/02/2018 16:31

Mumsnet will bring different takes, it's just why bring threads down

Offering a considered response to any product that is being marketed at you on an internet forum isn't bringing a thread down.

MotherofaSurvivor · 16/02/2018 00:12

Well mine never turned up!

ZombieNightOwl · 16/02/2018 00:59

I was told me and my daughter had been successful but still haven't received anything?

IhatePipArcher · 16/02/2018 04:27

Thank goodness for the good old supermarket then!

Angelfaced · 16/02/2018 19:27

I've not received the boxes for my daughter and yet but I look forward to doing so, we can't wait to test them I think they look pretty good. Smile Any idea how long until they arrive...hoping they arrive before that time of the month Flowers

NextIndia · 16/02/2018 23:05

We've not had ours yet either, so maybe they've not been sent out yet?

specialsubject · 18/02/2018 12:57

Oh dear. So you haven't received your detox green tea then? Read their latest blog, babble bingo.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 18/02/2018 15:21

I've not yet received mine either. Though I wouldn't be surprised if, after reading this thread they have decided to pull the test.

Angelfaced · 18/02/2018 15:29

Nooo I hope not I'm so looking forward to this and my daughter is too, sounds great to me not sure why people signed up to.it if not interested in it. Just jog on if it's not your thing. No biggy.

Frombothsidesnow · 18/02/2018 15:31

If they are worried about criticism, then it seems odd to ask for feedback on MN? Unless they were expecting lots of posters going 'oh, it's PINK and means I never have to publicly acknowledge menstruation ever again. THANK YOU, Pink Parcel' etc etc. Which some of the interestingly worded responses to the call for takers at the start of this thread might well have led them to believe might happen I suppose.

specialsubject · 18/02/2018 16:33

Naturally i didn't sign up, and that's not just because I'm not eligible. The concept is bad enough but the beauty blogger babble is worse.

CaraBosse1 · 18/02/2018 19:09

I wonder if they are going to send the boxes out in March.
I hope so as I've watched a couple of unboxings of February's offering, and the BettyBox is seriously crap. The Pink Parcel isn't great but I think it's particularly mean to offer up such meagre contents to youngsters.

Although this could be a valuable lesson for them.

Kangar00 · 21/02/2018 19:26

Was all ready this month and now my period has come and I'm disappointed it never arrived.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 21/02/2018 19:36

Me too @Kangar00

sepsisandAKI · 22/02/2018 15:41

Has anyone who said they been chosen heard anything yet?

wendyonthefarm · 22/02/2018 16:07

sepsisandAKI I received email on the 5th February to say we had been chosen. I filled in the surveys the same day. I haven't heard anything yet.

Ilikesweetpeas · 22/02/2018 16:49

We’ve not received anything yet either. Wonder if mumsnet know what’s going on?

Justyou · 22/02/2018 23:21

Heard nothing either yet

PointlessUsername · 22/02/2018 23:25

Have not received the boxes as yet?

JustineBMumsnet · 23/02/2018 11:41

Hi all - really sorry for the delay with this product test. You should receive an email soon to let you know when to expect your box (or boxes!)
