- What did you think about GoGo squeeZ in general?
Liked the bright, attractive packaging. The easy open lid is a plus as one of my children has cerebral palsy and struggles with the little screw kids on regular pouches - she could open these by herself.
Really liked that there was no need for refrigeration, even of the yoghurts. The kids take a packed lunch to a full day at drama school on the weekend and I used to worry about regular yoghurts sitting around in a warm environment.
- What did your child(ren) like about GoGo squeeZ?
Loved the kids, liked the packaging too, said it looked fun and exciting. They were very keen to test them and give their opinions.
They were keener on the yoghurts than the fruit pouches, my youngest wasn't too keen on the fruit ones at all, but he's funny about grainy textures and I think this might be what put him off. My eldest liked the fruit pouches, they both loved the yoghurts.
They also liked the reassurance that they would 'go funny' sat in a lunchbox all morning, little one has (completely unfounded!) hangups about getting food poisoning for some reason. He was pleased that they didn't need to be kept in the fridge.
Both praised how smooth and creamy the yoghurt pouches were and declared them 'really delicious'.
- What did your child think about the different flavours? Which was their favourite?
Both rated banana above strawberry in the yoghurts. They also both asked if there was a peach/apricot option and insisted I suggest that you make one!
Of the fruit pouches, my eldest liked Apple and mango the best.
I also trialled the fruit pouches as I love fruit purée/compote and regularly buy this for myself as a dessert or snack! I liked them all but plain apple was my favourite.
- When would you envisage giving GoGo squeeZ to your child?
In a lunchbox, as a snack in place of fruit or after dinner as a dessert.
- Would you consider GoGo squeeZ to be a healthy snack?
I don't really subscribe to the notion of healthy vs unhealthy, just everything in moderation. I wouldn't give the yoghurt daily as it does have a decent dose of sugar in, though to be fair, an amount comparable to other brands of yoghurt pouch. I also assume this is unavoidable in an ambient product. I think the fruit pouches would be ok every day in theory but wouldn't want the kids eating them daily in place of whole fruit due to the fibre etc they'd be missing out on.
However, for a lunchbox, a snack on the run, days out or s treat after dinner they are fantastic and definitely would have a place in the kids diet. I would buy them again, though I feel they are a little overpriced compared to their chilled counterparts.
