Honest question. Is this site a religious site?

It seems to me there's a large amount of Christian posts. I've also noticed a fair amount of disapproval for other religions.

I am an atheist. I don't really want to be part of a christian site posing as a parenting site.

So is this actually a Christian place?

Right you are then, Ted. Shall we ask Mrs Doyle for some more biscuits?

Well, if marshmallows are officially biscuits (as the Inland Revenue have finally admitted) I'm sure you could make a case for carrot cake

However, classifying carrot cake as one of your '5 portions for a healthy diet' might be a little contentious.....

Before they started mentioning portion sizes, a colleague did ask if an olive in a drink counted as one ... by the time we added a glace cherry on top of a cake, the fruit in the jam doughnut, and all the stuff in a jug of Pimms, we reckoned it was pretty easy really....

There are many sensible broad minded tolerant wise Christian posters

A few of us are pretty foul-mouthed, too, Dusty Gin

But it is unusual in that it's the only forum of any sort I've seen with a dedicated "Philosophy, Religion and Spirituality" section. An awful lot of woo is talked in there. Don't go in if you value your sanity

I'm a Christian - and I love a bit of Woo. There are more things in Heaven and earth, UnquietDada . . . many, many more things . . . (We need a spooky emoticon to go here - see to it Mumsnet Control. I won't be the only person who will use it.)

No, and if you look at certain posts such as the one asking if the UK is no longer a Christian country you will see that the majority of replies are along the lines of, "Yes it's no longer Christian thank fuck"
