Does parking on a closed road count as a live parking thread? 😁

So they have closed the road I live on to resurface it. It will be closed for the next two nights. We’ve had multiple letters from the council, there have been signs up for at least a month and yesterday they painted NO PARKING THURSDAY AND FRIDAY all over the road.

8 cars are still parked there with 15 minutes to go until resurfacing begins. One of the cars is right outside my house and when I saw them out the window, I tried to explain to the two women (looking like they were off for an evening in town) that they were probably not going to be able to get their car until morning but they told me to fuck off!

The road is lorry central, a guy is taking pictures of the remaining cars… it’s all go here.

Anyone know what they do? Do they just resurface round the cars? Tow them away? Do they get brutal? There’s a fair few annoyed looking men in hi-vis walking up and down! Should I get wine and a comfy viewing position?

OP please take donkey sized dog (i used to have a donkey dog. I miss her, she was vast!) for a walk and casually ask the hi-viz peeps if cars are being dumped a few streets over or impounded?

Send brother to ask lost boys what they're looking for... I just want to know what the fuck they're thinking and how they failed to note the road closure!

Ooops. Haha! Mind you, this was me a couple of years ago. The road outside ours was resurfaced. They put letters through the doors of the houses but not our small block of 9 flats. No signage when I got home from work at about 2pm. I didn't go out again until the following morning to go to work. It was absolute mayhem with full on road work activity and lots of men in high viz and my car was GONE! I had to sheepishly track down someone who looked important (with a clipboard). They'd lifted my car (and others who'd been caught out) into the next road.

Have you ever experienced something absolutely not where you left it? It really does take the brain (or maybe just mine!?) a while to take it in!

This is excellent. I had my car towed once in a similar circumstance. I felt dead stupid as I had missed the signs. They towed it to a car park, luckily I found it before I had to pay a parking ticket.
