Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Is this positive?!

Congratulations OP-such a gorgeous thread, am so pleased for you Smile

HelloFrostyMorning · 24/01/2022 23:19

I normally dislike these 'am i pregnant' threads, as they are always accompanied by a negative test and 9 out of 10 posters cooing and ahhing about how it's a positive.

But this is a wonderful thread, and I am SO pleased for you @Omgwhatthehell CONGRATULATIONS! Flowers

Walkoflife · 24/01/2022 23:44

I have been following since you first posted, and I am so pleased for you. I look forward to many more updates, especially around July/August.

Omgwhatthehell · 11/02/2022 11:12

I've just got a little update for you. I've had quite bad nausea the past few weeks but it seems to be tailing off!
I actually nearly cried on a work video call the other week as I felt so awful. I've had to get off a bus to vomit and have been gagging every morning in the shower.
In the past couple of days I really feel I'm turning a corner, thank god.
I feel so much brighter. I've also started to develop what seems to be a baby bump, rather than just a bit of bloat, which is nice.

It's been fun telling people. One of my friends was so shocked she actually had to immediately sit down in the middle of the floor Grin
We've still not told all of our friends and family, but will do after the 20 week scan, which is in just over 4 weeks.

So nice to hear! Well, not nice that you've been nauseous, but great that things are progressing. I remember the pure relief when I started to feel better at around 16-17 weeks.

Omgwhatthehell · 11/02/2022 11:27

The sickness is no joke is it!? @EishetChayil
It's so nice to be feeling a bit more normal. I usually do quite a bit of exercise but it had gone out the window. I'm hoping I can get back on it now, albeit gently. I've found a local place which does pregnancy yoga so am going to start that in a week or two.

Bumpy23 · 11/02/2022 11:56

Aaw congratulations 💐

Nottogetapenny · 11/02/2022 12:09

Lovely update! I know how awful pregnancy nausea can be, hopefully you have passed the worse of it. It seems no time at all since you started this thread and you are almost half way! Looking forward to more updates. Take care and look after yourself. Xx

EnglishMuffins · 11/02/2022 12:25

Love this thread and can’t imagine your elation Smile So pleased for you OP. I’m going to guess it’s a little girl.
Wishing you a smooth and healthy rest of your pregnancy , enjoy!!!

Igotmylipstickon · 11/02/2022 12:27

Just came across this thread. Absolutely delighted for you Op. Congratulations to you and your DH. x

Marmunia999 · 11/02/2022 12:34

The sickness is great news as you have a much lower chance of stillbirth and miscarriage! I had hyperemesis for nine months and baby was so healthy - slept through every night from six weeks! She's now 10 and has been to the doctor only once in her life!

uncomfortablydumb53 · 11/02/2022 12:37

Hope the sickness passes very soon. It's lovely you have a bump to show with pride now

SunnyLeaf · 11/02/2022 13:12

This thread is so lovely! Glad things are going well!

Dodie66 · 11/02/2022 13:19

Omgwhatthehell you might want to start a new thread soon because you can only have 1000 messages in a thread. Glad all is going well 🙂

Ladybugzrock · 11/02/2022 13:21

This is so lovely! I know so well the feeling of a positive test when you were told there is very little chance if it happening. Just the best feeling in the world.

Huge HUGE congratulations to you both!

northernsquirrel · 11/02/2022 13:30

@Omgwhatthehell so pleased to see your update! Followed your thread from the start and so happy for you x

HaveringWavering · 11/02/2022 13:30

What a lovely thread-I scrolled through all your messages OP hoping very much that all was still well and delighted to see that it is! My son was born when I was in my early forties (second round of own-egg IVF, interestingly I can’t remember what my AMH was but sure it was not great; I’m shocked the clinic would not take your money for private IVF.) We could not be happier. And I’ll let you into a secret- having a late-in -life, against the odds baby means that you’ll probably end up just having one, and having an only child actually has loads of advantages. I’ve had times when I wished I had more, but I am more and more happy with our three person family the older our son gets (he’s now 5).

spiderlight · 11/02/2022 13:31

Such a lovely update. I'm glad your sickness is easing off - it's so blooming miserable!

Cagedbirdsinging · 11/02/2022 13:39

Congratulations OP !
