Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Almost exactly this time 2 years ago, I'd been feeling squiffy for ages so did a Pg test just to rule it out. I'd been told I'd need IVF to have children and, at 36, I was reconciled like you.
Well, I swear the test turned positive before the pee even touched it. And then a private scan confirmed I was nine weeks pregnant!!
I hid the non-drinking by saying I was detoxing before Xmas. Then I feigned a hangover/headache everytime I was offered a drink over Xmas. Nobody ever expected I was pg so I somehow blagged it 😬
Also - we have a 2 bed and it's fine - they really don't take up much space for first few years!

This is the third test I did this afternoon. DH said “I’m not a doctor but I’m pretty sure that’s positive”

Will let you know how we go tomorrow with the number of weeks one.

Pregnancy vitamins have been ordered and I've just bought a digital test from Amazon which will be delivered tomorrow. It should tell me roughly how many weeks along I am.

Just as a popped to the loo to do the first test at lunch time I was adding to the trolley for our online Christmas grocery shop. So I've taken the camembert and pate out of the trolley as well as my favourite wine!

I've got my work's Christmas party and catch up's with friends over the next few weeks so am thinking of ways I can hide that I'm not drinking.

When DH comes home tonight I'm going to tell him he is now in charge of doing the cat's litter tray .

I had my second DC at 41 after thinking it would never happen for us with the first. No one ever mentioned my age during pregnancy really so don't worry at all about that.

My paternal Grandmother was an identical twin, but if I remember correctly that isn’t inherited.

It would serve me right for laughing about one of DH’s friends who recently had twins. He messaged her a couple of weeks after their arrival asking her if there is anything her and her husband would like as a gift and she just replied “gin”

I don't think you need to do any more tests. That is a strong positive. It's not one of the ones that you have to put your glasses on and peer at it at a certain angle. My faint line is snoozing upstairs and he's 20!

My first baby was a very clear line. I kept having the idea that I'd go for a scan and there'd be nothing there because I didn't have any symptoms at all. There was a baby there though.

@Rangoon I just will not believe it until we see the scan. There’s a while to wait for that though.
I promise I’ll only do one more test tomorrow.

Ha ha I didn't see it coming either. But when you read more about it I should've done. Apparently the chance of twins is higher as you age, it's the body's way of guaranteeing success! By releasing more eggs. Mine are boy/girl, this theory doesn't apply of the twins are ID. Whatever happens you are blessed and I send you huge congratulations xxxx
