An outbreak of Covid-19 has occurred for the Playmobil people in our house...

… and so over the next few days I'll be bringing you some scenes of a Playmobil Pandemic.

People are allowed out for exercise, but must practise social distancing. Janice and Preston are both out for a run but are making sure they don't get too close.

… and sweeps up.

It occurred to me yesterday, while I was doing Playmo with DS2, that I've still got a lot of my Edwardian set. Thought I might do a couple of 1918 pandemic pics to pop on here, if you don't mind somuch...

Captain do you mean ye olde "spanish flu" that could be interesting to see the contrast between then and now (social distancing).

Got up a bit late today. Enjoying my with Norm right now, then off to raid the summer house for some scenes for today.

Snuggly, the road bits initially came from three sets we had, playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4047 , playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4044 and playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4048

Then I bought some more as spare parts when I needed lots of road for Royal wedding processions...

It has been very useful for subsequent scenarios.

The royal household can't travel anywhere at the moment, so they are enjoying the gardens of Roundwood Palace. The Duke and Duchess of Paddleford and the Duke and Duchess of Ruggington are in the gardens with their children.

The older children have gone to play elsewhere, and the Dukes and Duchesses and Prince Flavian have been joined by King Athelstan and Queen Edith.

Princesses Harriet, Helena and Madeline have been joined by their second cousins Matilda and Perdita. They are dancing in a little rose glade.

Meanwhile Princes Henry and Cornelius have been joined by their second cousins Barnabas and Dorian. They are thinking of climbing a tree.

The Duke and Duchess of Waterbury have found a secluded spot near a little well.

While Princess Juliet and her husband Peregrine are resting near the peacock fountain.

In the evening, the children have all gone to bed. The adults gather in the garden for multicoloured glasses of wine.

Have they had to send their staff home due to social distancing ?

Well, I'm glad the Royals are enjoying lockdown . . yes I'm wondering who's cooking and cleaning for them, too!

They do have a few live-in staff (such as Martha) but any who don't live in are either working from home or furloughed I expect! Actually that's given me an idea for more scenes...

I'd like to see them struggling to do the cooking (as I imagine human Royals might do)
