… and so over the next few days I'll be bringing you some scenes of a Playmobil Pandemic.

People are allowed out for exercise, but must practise social distancing. Janice and Preston are both out for a run but are making sure they don't get too close.

My favourite was not actually the blue wine, it was actually the "Electric Melon" flavour (just typing that was so nostalgic I am dithering between throwing up or searching out some Rizlas)

Anyway, Electric Melon was pink, so if you see your Playmos drinking anything pink, be warned @SoMuchToBits. They will surely need more masks and aprons to deal with that carnage Wink

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 16/04/2020 17:56

I love that you have to justify the dates of your Playmo purchases OP, it's so fucking Mumsnet Grin There is always one!

petalpower · 16/04/2020 17:56

So Much said that the collection of playmobil started when her DS was about 5 and has continued since (he is now 19). So Much has also said she adds to the sets herself now too.

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 17:57

I'm sure Playmo blue wine is lovely! Smile

Yes, I have been adding some sets since about 2016 (mainly for MN threads). The store, pharmacy interior and post office interior were all new this time, couldn't resist as everything is 25% off on the Playmo website!

I've just checked in my old Christmas planner - the school gym was a Christmas gift to ds from my sister and BIL in 2011! Smile

Dearest SoMuch, I do not care one jot when, where or why you bought the Playmo. I am just very glad you did and Please DON'T STOP!

chomalungma · 16/04/2020 18:24

I love this stuff - some people on here might let to get their children inspired to use Scratch to make similar scenes if they haven't got Playmobil.

It's probably been done already - but I bet some children could be very creative using Scratch. Especially when it comes to social distancing and the lockdown Grin

Redmarchingband · 16/04/2020 18:40

WeBuilt was it like the blue wicked stuff, that my work colleague called WD40? Grin
That was pretty lethal to her, she broke her ankle

MardiBras · 16/04/2020 20:20

I hope no one sneaks out for a non - essential drive in the car!

I’m off to drink some blue wine 😂

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 20:21

Ok, you didn’t have to escalate it that much, did you.

If you don’t like how your post came across, maybe question why we all apparently got the wrong end of the stick...

"irritating red and yellow connectors"? Nooo….. that's System X! We love system X in our house, as you can dismantle and recombine buildings really easily. I have fond memories of when ds dismantled a load of other buildings and made a massive railway station, complete with timetables he printed out on the computer! Grin

But please no bunfights on this thread or I will have to call the Playmo police Smile

Anyway, we've been out for the clap for key workers this evening, it has been fab in our road. I played "Over the Rainbow" on my clarinet and there was plenty of clapping, cheering and pot banging. Smile

Well we’ve spent the morning naming our playmo people OP Grin
Thanks!!

WellErrr · 16/04/2020 20:27

(And sorting them all into little families)!

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 20:31

Excellent work, WellErr! Grin

Thank you SoMuch! I’ve been looking forward to this. Your election specials are the highlight of every Election Day in our house.

Thank you Hairy!

This is fabulous. A bright spot in what is basically Groundhog Day every day. Thank you so much!

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 21:51

You are welcome! Yes, it is a bit Groundhog Day. But I'm trying to see the positives where I can. Smile

SunshineCake · 16/04/2020 22:34

Oh, I'd love to see the election thread. Is it still available ?

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 23:07

We've had several election threads over the years. Some are in Classics, some in Chat. You'd be best searching by advanced search using "for the Playmobil people in our house" as a thing.
