… and so over the next few days I'll be bringing you some scenes of a Playmobil Pandemic.

People are allowed out for exercise, but must practise social distancing. Janice and Preston are both out for a run but are making sure they don't get too close.

Any chance there is a 99yo playmobil doing laps in his garden! Such a lovely story...

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 14:49

Myfriend I store all the Playmo in plastic boxes in my summer house. I remember some names, but for the rest I have lists!

bettybattenburg it's a good thing I wasn't drinking my tea when I read your post about the vase of blue wine, it made me laugh! Grin

Bits this honestly gives my day a lift and a smile, and for that, THANK YOU!

Bloody love those Bad Boys with their white suits and dark, dark shadesGrin

SnugglySnerd · 16/04/2020 15:48

Another triumph from SoMuchToBits

You absolute ⭐️!

pussycatinboots · 16/04/2020 16:35

Is there a Playmo Matt Hancock? Or Prof Chris Whitty?
Will there be a briefing/online press conference/COBRA meeting?
Is there a Laura Kuenssberg?
Hmm

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 16:39

Wait and see... Wink

I really enjoy everyone's comments and questions too, it brightens my day up!

Please, please tell me there won't be a Dominic Raab licking his fingers

pussycatinboots · 16/04/2020 17:07

...unless he gets pelted with loo rolls, obvs Grin

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 17:15

Can we please not politicise this thread too much...it’s not going to be light relief if we have to actually be reminded of the utter shit show of politics in the U.K.

Playmo world is its own place, with its own characters, and it doesn’t need infecting with real life nonsense.

(Apologies @SoMuchToBits if I’m stepping on your toes here.)

CatkinToadflax · 16/04/2020 17:18

Fair point Nink. They do still need a press briefing though, otherwise they won't know when to stop social distancing and the goons in the park won't know when to stop rebelling! Grin

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 17:19

Nothing personal, of course @pussycatinboots, it’s just this thread is only of the only places I have to get away from all of that. I want to feel happy and fuzzy and merry, not grumpy/frustrated/irate.

I’m going to think about blue wine now. 🍷

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 17:20

Oh of course, it needs all the things that a real world needs (it’s real after all)!

bettybattenburg · 16/04/2020 17:21

bettybattenburg it's a good thing I wasn't drinking my tea when I read your post about the vase of blue wine, it made me laugh!

Grin

Perhaps at 7pm we should all have a vase of blue wine and shout a loud cheers to you. Shall we clap as well?

SoMuchToBits · 16/04/2020 17:23

Clapping while holding a vase of blue wine might get a bit messy! Grin

OP posts:
bettybattenburg · 16/04/2020 17:23

Ah, yes, I hadn't thought of that. Obviously we will just have to drink the wine - a vase for ourselves and a vase for you.

Kuponut · 16/04/2020 17:29

Ours are all over the house at the moment as the kids have discovered stop motion so are recording increasingly elaborate dance routines with the small plastic children that infest my entire life.

OP claims it's all childhood Playmo far too much though - I know that school and that was a very very recent introduction (we came back from a holiday to Germany with it in our suitcase and all our washing in our hand luggage as DD2 is blooming obsessed with the stuff)

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 17:30

A loo roll pelting paints an excellent picture, tbf. 🧻 🧻 🧻

campion · 16/04/2020 17:31

There's a playmobil motor home with all the trimmings in the loft somewhere. I'm inspired to go and find it.
It'll be right out of petrol, fortunately.

Ninkanink · 16/04/2020 17:32

OP doesn’t say it’s all childhood playmobil. Confused

She said it started years ago and continued throughout the growing up years and she has said on this thread that she still adds to her collection. So I don’t really know what your issue is.

bettybattenburg · 16/04/2020 17:34

@Kuponut I think you might need to relax with a glass of Wine - sorry it's not blue Grin

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 16/04/2020 17:48

Well if anyone else was of drinking age in the 90s, you may well remember the fucking horrific delightful^^ blue wine drink called MD 2020. Ah yes, a blue raspberry WINE.

Just a refresher in case anyone has blocked it out of their mind until now Grin

(I seriously hope the poor Playmo People aren't drinking that, as the thought of them recreating some of the shit I got up to, is disturbing. And would ruin the lovely thread Wink)

The school gym was one of ds's sets. It's this set playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4325&pics=on and was first introduced in 2009 in Germany, think we got it in 2010 or 2011. Smile
