This happens on our street a LOT and I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate, the gap between the wing mirror and wall isn't big enough for a child to slip through and the car is so huge it blocks pedestrians from seeing whats coming without stepping into the road.
Not to mention that he's parked on a T-junction.

Total sympathy. We have a family living on a different road to us and their two daughters and their boyfriends moved back about 18 months ago so between them they have FIVE cars - all from the one house and they all park on our (very narrow) road and all park on the footpath up to the wall. It’s a nightmare trying to negotiate the path around and between their cars and they don’t even live on this road! Yesterday a lorry struggled to go down the road because of their cars and I was praying he’d hit one of them. Sadly it didn’t happen. This is the same family who reported us to the Council saying our dogs barking disturbed them. The only time our dogs bark is briefly when we go out and they get excited while they jump into the car - ooh all of two/three minutes at the unearthly hour of 8.30am. And don’t get me started on their damn cats who come through the hedge and crap all over our garden........

Can I be the first to say cancel the cheque?

Done the right thing. Keep taking pictures every time this happens just to prove to police this isn't a one off. Police may take a few days to turn up, I know where I live they phone and make an appointment to make sure you are available for chat. Full marks on the diagram.
