With a human skull in the garden?

Because I've never been in this situation before.

We've been tidying up the garden and have piles of rubble all over the place. One of our rickety old fences borders a graveyard (very old belonging to ancient church) and I'm assuming the skull sort of drifted under our fence and has been near the top of the soil for a while. I hope.

I've googled but can't seem to find much info. I'll be contacting the parish council on Monday but wondered if it warrants a call to 101 (or whatever it is) to register it just in case it's not a graveyard wanderer Confused

Anyone had a similar experience?!

Going back a little:
anyone in possession of a skull needs to hand it in to the police?

I don't know about any of you, but I'm not handing mine to the police. No way!

Not until um dead, anyway...

Next time? Well that's nice.

I'm a bit confused about the angry man.

Also, are you pregnant? Maybe that is the "promotion". And why you need to delegate. ~~woo~~

Time to start digging up your garden and finding Yorick's friends!

LMGTFY · 19/05/2016 08:58

Mass grave? Right, when is the dig?

Love this thread Smile

So if you want to commit murder, now is the time to do it and hide the acid stripped remains with the rest of the bones in the "mass" grave Wink

Lweji · 19/05/2016 18:25

With enough acid, you can also get rid of the bones. No need to bury them.

Unicorntrainer · 19/05/2016 18:59

Will you be going to the burial ? Shall we send flowers? 💐

Funko · 19/05/2016 19:20

I just saw this on fb and thought of you! Get digging 😄

Can’t identify who I work for but I got told this story by a very senior exec in out company.

One of our more rural sites used to employ teams to dig trenches. One particular team of two were very hard working but not really famed for their brains. They were told to dig a trench along a grave yard wall when they came across a skull. They had a little conflab and decided to leave it on the side of the trench and keep digging. They promptly found another one. Same procedure, side of the trench and keep digging. Ten skulls later, it was the end of the day and time to go home. The skulls started to worry them at that point, so the decision was made to sling them in the skip and go back to the yard.

At the yard, the younger, slightly less thick one had a crisis of conscience and told his boss. Panic ensues. Dumb and Dumber are loaded in a car and driven back to site only to be greeted by about a thousand blue flashing lights as half the police force descended on the site of a mass murder(allegedly). On looking at the skulls it was noticed that they were probably very old but it was later found that they were extremely old. Our heroes had only gone and dug up a bronze age site that adjoined the later christian burial site. The archaeologists got very excited but the whole story wasn’t really told to the press.

Omg that is the end of the thread Shock

DebCee · 27/05/2016 20:29

I'd definitely want to keep it! Always quite fancied owning an anatomical skeleton.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 27/05/2016 21:17

ooh dundee....I was in Dundee three times this week!

I could have met Yorick!!

I bet that was Sue Black or one of her minions! Dh just said they have a set up where you can email them a picture of a bone and they will ID as human or not. (ex-copper so it may not be a public facility)

Are there any more developments?
