Hi a bit tmi sorryBlush , we had some friends round tonight, we were having a nice chat when suddenly I got an agonizing stomach pain, it passed after a few seconds and I thought nothing of it until about five minutes later when it happened again then it started coming every few minutes, it felt like labor contractions. I had to excuse myself as the pain was so bad. I went to the bathroom, worried it was something I had eaten and there was something in my pants that looked like the mucus plug you loose in early labor probably about the size of two 5p coins stacked then the pain eased.
I went downstairs again and half an hour later it happened again, the regular pains then the loss. I am not pregnant and there was no bleeding just a slight pink tinge to the clots.
Any ideas? feeling a bit Confused

Goodness, sounds horrible!

Could it be bad ovulation pains?

Are you sure you're not pregnant

hiddenhome · 14/08/2013 22:50

Are you sure you're not pregnant? Confused

SoldAtAuction · 14/08/2013 22:51

Has something like this ever happened to you before?

FrankSpenser · 14/08/2013 22:52

Test yourself for a BFP. You never know.

FrankSpenser · 14/08/2013 22:53

Hope you're OK..

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 14/08/2013 22:54

Gp tomorrow?

Hope you're not in too much pain tonight.

hectorslarry · 14/08/2013 22:54

Could it be the start of your period?

Have you recently finished a period?

100% sure you aren't pregnant?

hiddenhome · 14/08/2013 22:57

I followed an American series on Youtube that featured woman who'd unexpectedly gone into labour, not even knowing they were pregnant and were having babies on kitchen floors and gas station restrooms etc. Confused

Aldwick · 14/08/2013 22:58

Please get this checked out - women not knowing they're pregnant til birth isn't just an urban myth. Hope you're ok and have someone with you.

FannyFifer · 14/08/2013 22:58

Jings, are you sure there is no way you are pregnant?

MimsyBorogroves · 14/08/2013 22:59

I'd test/GP to be on the safe side.

I know it's possible to lose the uterine lining without it being broken down properly first, but that gives a larger more blood/"meaty" (sorry) loss.

thebeastisback · 14/08/2013 23:00

I am quite sure I'm not pregnant, never 100% but I tested about 4 weeks ago and bfn (am on the pill and usually do a just incase test every 6 months) had a normal period about two weeks ago.
Feel a bit uncomfortable now but not in any real pain.

Phone NHS24 (that's Scotland, unsure what its called in rest of UK) for some advice would be your best bet.

KareninsGirl · 14/08/2013 23:02

You wouldn't get a bfp in the 3rd trimester I don't think...I may be wrong though. Hope you're alright.

hiddenhome · 14/08/2013 23:03

You can still have periods whilst pregnant, but if you had a period a couple of weeks ago, then perhaps it's an ovulation pain - have you been taking your pill properly?

Conina · 14/08/2013 23:04

Ovulation pains? With lots of egg white cervical mucus?

It would fit with two weeks after a period...

FannyFifer · 14/08/2013 23:05

Test can be negative if pregnancy a good bit on.
Put on any weight lately?

Was going to say ovulation pain and EWCM in a big clump but not when on pill I don't think.

hiddenhome · 14/08/2013 23:07

Update OP, we need to know if we should get knitting Grin

thebeastisback · 14/08/2013 23:08

The pain has all but gone, just feel a bit sore but not coming in waves or anything anymore. going to take some paracetamol and get some sleep and hopefully not wake up giving birth Smile

Sounds like an early miscarriage to me.

OnTheBottomWithAWomensWeekly · 14/08/2013 23:21

It doesnt sound anything like an early miscarriage, why would you say that? No bfp, normal periods, no symptoms, nobleeding or ongoing pain.....?

hiddenhome · 14/08/2013 23:27

I'm really hoping it's a surprise baby. In fact, I'm getting my hopes up.

idiot55 · 14/08/2013 23:31

Oh I had this a few months ago, even took a photo of plug to show GP!

Apparently normal during ovulation

PattieOfurniture · 14/08/2013 23:31
