I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

DS2 has the most perfect girlfriend too, upon meeting us she said she had already told her mother I would need to go wedding dress shopping with her as having three boys I would miss out on the experience otherwise. I even like it when he sleeps in and she comes down to talk to us.

Thumb, DS3 is 22, he's the baby :-) He just moved 150 miles away and lives in the same city now as DS2.

DH is having double hernia op tomorrow so I'm a bit worried.

Dh had an Umbillical Hernia a few years back and he was fine afterwards Zing just sore and couldn't laugh for a few days. He watched Long Way Round/Down on dvd most days..... Hope your dh will be ok. If the nice weather keeps up he can sit out in the garden, that is if you have one!!

Blue Lovely to hear a potential MIL talk so nicely about a gf of her son's. My MIL was/is nasty and bitter I promise I will be a nice MIL and mind my own business!

Beautiful day here, ds1 had a day off school and I got a taster of what it will be like for the summer holidays. Fingers crossed this nice weather keeps so the kids can at least go outside and kill each other in the garden than fighting over the remote control or how many times they can watch Garfield on dvd!

Great stuff! Good to hear. You do realise you'll be regaled about how difficult the surgery was and it was touch and go blah blah. I heard this when dh had his. Even when I had the 2 babies on my own with no intervention did it match to what dh went through!!! Now he's a flippin' martyr

Haven't seen first MIL for over twenty years and she has never met DS2 or DS3. (Mind you ex DH hasn't been seen either for 19 years).

Hope people are ok today, your bbq sounds nice-so does pizza. DS1 is home for a couple of nights so he is cooking pork steaks, mash and some kind of leek gratin.
