I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

Big grass cluster-y thing. Is 8am too early for whiskey?

VixZenFenchell · 31/05/2013 21:08

Hmmm. That didn't come out as it looked in the box. However I still quite like it :)

ZenOfPetals · 31/05/2013 21:11

That happened to me when I tried to illustrate a tissue box, last week! Why does it look different in the box? Anyway, tumbleweed is probably like snowflakes- no two look the same

Just a big bush so?!

amazingmumof6 · 31/05/2013 21:37

oh thank you all, great description duchess!

love the art work too!

I admit I thought it either meant "see you later" or "doing a cartwheel"

that is in the same league as Fenchell...

I'm waving hello to VixZen and everyone! Grin

ZenOfPetals · 31/05/2013 21:38

Not, a big bus, not a Brazilian, either

OP posts:
ZenOfPetals · 31/05/2013 21:39

BUSH not bus,

like a whirl of dried wheat and grass, drifting about on the floor

Brazilian = privet hedging

Obviously I do not wish to insult any Brazilians here by saying they're a privet hedge. More like a Grisilinea....

amazingmumof6 · 31/05/2013 22:21

first week on new diet and I lost 3lbs!

yay!

VixZenFenchell · 31/05/2013 22:46

Congrats zing!

I've been on a diet most of the last 4 years /sigh. I'm 7kg heavier than when I started ... :)

amazingmumof6 · 01/06/2013 00:55

thanks VixZen

I sent you a PM

Blueandwhitelover · 01/06/2013 08:35

amazingmumof6-what diet???? I got down to target for my 30th, sadly for my 50th in 13 months I now have to lose 7 stones :-(

Horrendous nightmare in the middle of the night meant I was awake for ages, DH woke me up mid yell/scream.

Beautiful day outside-purple hair dye is on now.

I cannot share the gossip-we would have to ask for the thread to be deleted and I feel quite at home now on it Smile

Roomfor1more · 01/06/2013 13:50

Day dull here.

Have a sick little girl Sad spiking temps etc. I'm giving Calpol/Nurofen alternately. Anyone know what the Chicken Pox is like before they come out. If it is those she's infectious now??? And until the very last spot crusts over?? The joys of small people in my house and we running the gauntlet of infectious diseases. Might be just a back tooth too??

Sorry, not very light hearted Sad Don't like having little sickies here thats all.

amazingmumof6 · 01/06/2013 16:14

poor babyRoomie!

as long as fresh spots appear she is contagious, despite having some spots that have crusted over.

Blue - I started a thread in big/slim chat.
just do an advanced search on my name in that topic.
I will Wink when you get there

amazingmumof6 · 01/06/2013 17:50

got a bloody headache.

amazingmumof6 · 01/06/2013 17:53

Thumbtack · 01/06/2013 19:37

Thumbtack · 01/06/2013 19:39

I cannot believe we are nearing 700! So proud!

I too, need to diet. Cutting out sugar in tea. As of NOW.

Blueandwhitelover · 01/06/2013 22:07

Just popping in cos I am not allowed to say in RL, but we just booked a holiday! A cheap and cheerful one for October half term-so excited!

VixZenFenchell · 01/06/2013 23:52

Yay holiday! Are you allowed to tell us where you are going?

I started today with v good intentions re food. 2 banana waffles later and my good intentions are paving my road to obese hell :(

Sorry to hear about BabyRoomie - chicken pox is a tempy snotty coughy cold type bug which you realise is CP once spots appear. DS2 had one on his back and one on his tummy at breakfast one day and by tea time he was covered. It's usually infectious pre spottiness and stays infectious until all spots crusted over. Hope BabyRoomie is better soon, it's not a nice bug however mild a dose you get.

Putting up curtains / blinds / pictures today :) only been in the house a year, finally getting it more like a home and less like a bland shell.

amazingmumof6 · 02/06/2013 01:32

oh TT , you make me blush!

are you my groupie then?Grin

Blueandwhitelover · 02/06/2013 10:30

Yes, we are going to just outside Torremolinos, I am a terrible snob so will be telling people we are holidaying in a little area on the Costa del Sol :-)
Seriously though, the holiday hotel is on Tripadvisor with rave reviews and ideal for quiet older people, can't wait.

Roomfor1more · 02/06/2013 11:57

Still no pox but still spiking temps Sad I know if I go to the out of hours doc he'll say viral and keep going with what your doing Confused
