I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

blueandwhite Peppa leaves me cold but I am becoming more and more fond of Sarah and Duck.

I should stress that 6 years of cbeebies may have adversely affected my critical faculties and I may just be attached to Sarah & Duck in a Stockholm-syndrome kind of way.

greencolorpack · 30/05/2013 09:37

Always avoid watching Cbeebies. Don't let your brains turn to mush. I let my kids watch while I was in the other room on the computer.

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 11:18

Blue count your blessings!! Peppa is the antichrist and a brat!

The joys of having miniature people in this gaff is kids tv on most of the time. I have about 8 episodes of Criminal Minds to watch and get boo'd out of the living room when I attempt. Then the Isle Of Man TT is on this week so dh has the tv hogged in the evening. He reliving his younger years of owning bike till he met me and ended up in suburbia cutting his lawn. Poor lamb lol

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 11:19

Rhyme Rocket is banned in this house, the dude in the white coat is a dope, period!

Blueandwhitelover · 30/05/2013 12:01

I am back, and am sitting here complete with very bright hair dye on my hair. I am attired only in my hair dyeing dressing gown which has seen me through, dark brown, red, chestnut and an attempt at purple hair. I don't understand why the UPS man laughed when he came down the garden......
I do love a bit of Criminal Minds myself, always have a good letch after Hotch.

Thumbtack · 30/05/2013 12:24

Are you pleased with the results? I've always wanted to duet hair red, but never had the guts!

Thumbtack · 30/05/2013 12:28

Duet? Dye!

Obviously a duet with my hair would be something else all together, which I would also like to do.

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 12:39

amazingmumof6 · 30/05/2013 13:00

amazingmumof6 · 30/05/2013 13:01

did nobody find "Backpack" funny?Shock

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 13:06

I'm thinking of Dora and her Backpack song!

Blueandwhitelover · 30/05/2013 13:24

I found backpack funny!

Hmm, the hair.
I have a very bright orangey red stripe down the middle (will have to admit that my natural hair is now white-was once asked by a child at school, 'Miss, why does your hair come out of your head a different colour?') and the rest is a reddy brown.
I am swishing it in the sun at the moment and waiting for it to dry.

Roomie

read my post this morning (3am-ish)

amazingmumof6 · 30/05/2013 13:50

sorry, post at 1:56

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 14:30

Oh DUH!!!!! lol Very good, I did read that and it didn't register, sorry Blush Having all those babies so close together has turned my brain to saw dust! Look its a good excuse and I'm sticking, kay... Wink

Have decided NOT to go shopping, put the babies up for a nap, ds1 and dd are drawing, read as fighting over a red marker, and I'm having a hot cup of coffee Grin Dh brings ds1 training after work so I'll wait till he gets home and I can nip in then, solo. Oh the joys some me time even if its roaming about a supermarket looking at the BOGOF specials...

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 14:32

Dh usually has them all gone to bed by the time I get home. I might go to the Maccy D's drive thru and really chance my arm lol I think this may be the start of a dastardly plan for me to escape the kid-lings abeit a couple of hours.

Roomfor1more · 30/05/2013 14:33

I'll need to drive home with all the windows of the car open so I can get rid of the smell of my 'Fillet O Fish', stop now, you need to say that in a faux french accent too.

Thumbtack · 30/05/2013 14:34

I thought backpack was hilarious. It does sound like a duck.

Backpack. Backpack. Backpaaaaack. Pack. Pack.

I told my parents they thought it was good too, sparked a conversation over lunch.

blue do you like it?

amazingmumof6 · 30/05/2013 15:00

TT thanks, will tell DS5 he's famous! Grin

Thumbtack · 30/05/2013 15:31

roomie loving your stealth maccy D visit! Sit in the drive thru parking bay and watch the world go by! I haven't had one for years . .

I have a big mac craving now - do they still do those?

I live over our pub and live off euther deep fried stuff or lovely homemade pub food (not by me) and occasionally I crave something different.
