They may be reading mumsnet but they don't appear to posting their own unusual lifestyle online - could be on facebook, I guess. Using Google's powers of translation, I searched for "living in my car" recent posts in Polish. I did find half a dozen Polish people living in cars in Poland - and one in the US, where I gather it's also the done thing. One Polish couple had a baby and a toddler! Their car was more of an Escort than a Beemer.

Then a small escort style van pulled up and they got into the back

I haven't read the whole thread but I see people where I live sitting in cars for hours and various other people appear, get in the car, out of the car and disappear. I think they must be selling drugs personally.
