Said he will sort things out himself this morning and that I am not to interfere??? We shall see!!

The school are really big on drama and music. They are forming a school choir and band and he is going every Monday night after school to take part. He hopes they will pick him to sing - I think he gets his lovely singing voice from my FIL (Grandad Taffy) - They will do a concert in about 3 months in the theatre in the school grounds - aptly named The Peter Kay theatre!!!

triplets · 18/01/2010 14:57

Wow Shabs, thats so good for confidence, what sort of music is he into?

shabbapinkfrog · 18/01/2010 15:06

Massive range of music that he likes.....loves Black eyed peas, R & B, soul music all the way through to really heavy rock music. At the moment this is his favourite song Black eyed peas

He is practising 'Never gonna give you up' by Rick Astley and 'No matter what' by Boyzone for karaoke in Faliraki

triplets · 18/01/2010 15:31

Oh I love no matter what, he can sing it to me! FG just ordered Becs Babyliss from Amazon, got it for £9.50p! Glad to have you around more

neenz · 18/01/2010 19:18

Is Tom watching Glee Shabs? Being in the choir/music group at school will soon be the coolest thing ever

I am 10+1 today and feeling a lot less sick, but this normal isn't it? I think having a bit of a rest over the weekend has helped cos I definitely feel more sick when I am tired, but is it normal for MS to get better at about 10 weeks?

Getting nervous for the Carling Cup semi-final tomorrow Shabs! Gotta play better than we did on Saturday

shabbapinkfrog · 18/01/2010 19:24

Part of me wishes it was just one game and not one of those stupid 2 match things. Im quietly dreading it to be honest I've supported City for 42 years and they never fail to suprise me - and not always in a good way!!!

Cant comment on the morning sickness easing up my love - I was sick from about 10 days after conception and throughout all 3 of my pregnancies my face looked like that! I was soooooooooo sick through the 38 weeks I carried the twins - it became a standing joke in our house!! No wonder I put just 18lbs on with them two monkeys xx

oooggs · 18/01/2010 20:13

can't comment on sickness neenz - from conception to delivery with all of them! But glad you are feeling better

neenz · 18/01/2010 20:46

I started feeling better at 11wks with the twins, so I am hoping this is another sign that this one is not twins! I started feeling sick later as well this time, I was 6.5 weeks whereas I was 5.5 with the twins.

MERLYPUSS · 18/01/2010 21:12

Frumpy I did make it to the funeral. It was awful. Took the DTs and sat at the back and they were really good and munched raisins all the way through the service. Lots of people really heartbroken andher husband will now have to go into full time care as he is chair bound following a stroke. All very sad. However we have made a pact that we will meet in the summer for a 'nice' day and not on another funeral. There better not be another one this year

MonkeyMargot · 18/01/2010 21:29

Hello ladies! Haven't posted for a while then found I'd lost track and had to spend some time catching up.
trips your DH's birthday lunch out sounds lovely - actually anything involving red wine and then cake is lovely IMO...

Sophie lovely news of your b/g twins! I am secretly hoping for that combo also. Will probs get 2 naughty boys as punishment!
Now just the small task of finding names that sit well together, and with that of your DD1!
Curio you are so right - YOU know your babies better than any HV does. Stick to your guns.

neenz how many weeks are you now? Glad you are feeling better now. I felt so horribly sick with these twins until about 13 weeks. Now at 16+5 feeling pretty damned good! Got first hospital appt. tomorrow - hoping they find both heartbeats OK (how will I know MW hasn't simply found same baby twice?)

shabbapinkfrog · 19/01/2010 06:59

Morning girls xx

triplets · 19/01/2010 07:43

Morning me darlings
Have to go to the pub again, what a drag

triplets · 19/01/2010 07:46

Monkeymargot have just ordered Sacred Country by Rose Tremain for poss book club choice, have you read it or any of hers, I value your opinion!

HarrogateMum · 19/01/2010 08:02

ooooh Trips I have read that and loved it,didnt think I would but thoroughly enjoyed it.

piximonkeyingaround · 19/01/2010 09:20

FG Hope everything goes well at the hospital, your little man will be in my thoughts all day.

curiosity Non-id dts are genetically only as similar to each other as they are to any other siblings they have! (pixi marvels that she is remembering some of her OU studies). I was really surprised by this, I thought they'd be genetically more alike despite not being ID and wish I'd known when I had my dts. There is no reason for dts to follow a similar pattern, they are individuals and should not be compared. Trust in your own judgement.

Off to catch up.

Can everyone please slap me? I am getting really anxious now about this pregnancy. When I felt rotten at least I was reassured everything was going ok. Now that I am feeling better I am scared something horrible has happened . I rang the antenatal clinic to see if I could get an early scan but they said no, even though I said I already have twins and have had a previous mc . But they have given me a scan date - Feb 3, so that is two more weeks! Please tell me everything is fine and I am just acting crazy.

My SIL is 7wks-ish and had some bleeding so has been for a scan and she is having twins! I think that has made me more anxious, almost like cos she's having twins maybe I am too or maybe cos her pregnancy looks viable maybe mine won't be . Like I said, slap me please!

NEENZ You are fine, the baby is fine, trust in us, or Shabs will be calling with a very wet kipper. I think until your baby is born we are all anxious, its natural, but as the wise one says
All will be well xx

shabbapinkfrog · 19/01/2010 15:02

Its going to be OK love - 'all will be well, all WILL be well.'

I felt like that all the time I was carrying Tom. Anxious everyday and letting my imagination run riot - when he was born I was in awe of him...he was just perfect.

kathryn2804 · 19/01/2010 15:59

I have been a lot less sick with this singleton pregnancy than with the twins. I'm sure everything will be fine Good luck. It is so hard waiting for the scan. When it eventually arrived, they'd cocked my appointment up and i had to wait another week. I cried as you can imagine!!!!!!!
