Hello my lovelies,
Just sneak on here as dh is out and kids will be home shortly then there is no chance! The snow I hear is heading south, hope it does as then the schools will close and I can stay in bed! Do not like getting up at 6.30am! I had a panic attack on the park and ride bus in Canterbury yesterday, though I was going to die. It was because I had a call to say my friend had died yesterday morning of the rotten big C, he was 57 and did not want to go, it is so so sad. Just feel abit surrounded by it all atm. H has his blood test tomorrow and big ct scan on Thurs, I am anxious and he is calm as anything, my ibs is playing me up too, need something to calm me down...

HarrogateMum · 05/01/2010 15:05

bagpuss · 05/01/2010 17:00

Oh trips sorry hen.

More snow here too. DP came home early because of it, I'm not keen on his travelling in this weather. Its mental. Anyone else stopping watching the news? I hate all this "EVERYONE PANIC, WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF GAS/GRIT/TAMPONS" attitude. I mean, we won't go hungry........we each have extra children we can eat...........

My diet and exercise and behaving regime is off until the snow clears. And no mistake. What's the point? My system needs every calorie it can get for warmth surely

HM, me non?

HarrogateMum · 05/01/2010 21:05

FG.....

Dh has gone to London a day early so he is there for his meeting on time...booooo. So all alone with sinusitis and only camomile tea for company (this is officially DAY 3 of no booze!!!)

frumpygrumpy · 05/01/2010 22:29

HM, I am in awe. You are ill, alone, not sipping the juice of the dreamers AND haven't eaten ANY children at all!!!!!!! I am in awe. You are a trooper! Seriously, hope you feel better v soon, sinusitis is so sore

shabbapinkfrog · 06/01/2010 08:59

Morning girls xx

neenz · 06/01/2010 10:01

I take blood pressure tablets and beta blockers every day Rubester - and there's nowt wrong with me [googly eyed emoticon] and, just checking, erm I have no problem with my hard-on xx

tkband3 · 06/01/2010 11:10

We are snowed in. School's shut - DT2 cried because she wanted to go and see her friends . I felt like crying too - I wanted them to go in and see their friends as well .

Ruby, no problems in that area IFKWIM . DH sounds like your DP - very healthy lifestyle etc. Did either of your DP's parents have high blood pressure? I think it can sometimes just be hereditary and there's nothing you can do to avoid it...DP got male pattern baldness, high blood pressure and a short fuse from his dad. Fortunately he also inherited a lovely gentle temperament (most of the time) and a very funny dry wit...otherwise he wouldn't have been such a great bet .

Right, off to play in the snow - we were going to wait for it to stop, but what the hell...

Btw, have not lost any weight yet - weighed in at slimming world yesterday and had only gained 2 pounds over Christmas, so quite satisfied with that...am going to try v. hard this week.

Yep high blood pressure is hereditry - thanks Mum!!! Thanks also Mum for my thunder thighs, massive bobos, ingrowing toe nails and anything else I have forgotten.....love her to bits really xxx

I had pre-eclampsia with the twins - had never ever had blood pressure problems before. My last blood pressure check was 'almost' normal - tablets maybe?

shabbapinkfrog · 06/01/2010 11:27

He will be just fine Rubester - once you get used to taking the tablets it is really no big deal. I still use some salt but have just cut down a lot with it. xx

HarrogateMum · 06/01/2010 11:27

Snow has not stopped school and nursery today!! All on, took them down this morning but sadly I cant get out of the drive to get to work, oh well!!! A woman who parked in front of my house is shovelling her way out and has created a snow wall on the pavement so I cant step over it....how kind! Dont people think?

Ruby....erm, do you want me to take crystal meth? Where do you suggest I get it from?

FG - yes I am a legend...this is day 4....lets see if I make it to Friday.....sinusitis is improving with the antibiotics anyway but its just soooo cold, the snow is showing no signs of disappearing a tall what a nightmare!

shabbapinkfrog · 06/01/2010 11:32

Tomsters school is also closed tomorrow!!! I reckon it will be Monday before they are back. I just put it on my Facebook status and Tom (upstairs on his Mac thingeymebob) commented 'YES!!'
