Merly, DH and I bought ourselves a scalextric for Xmas a few years ago (pre-dc's) and we always set it up when we had friends round. If we'd had boys I think we'd have hung on to it, but we gave it to my brother a while back. Deffo get the scalextric - the boys might be too young yet, but you and DH will have a laugh .
HM, I'm not surprised you are having a tough time of it with all that on your plate. I have no pearls of wisdom at the moment...but I usually do as you do, and hide away when I'm feeling blue, but having posted the last couple of days I feel so much better, so make sure you keep on posting - and email me a long rant if you'd like. How about a night out in London while MIL is here to look after the children with DH? There's a sofa bed here for you any time, and we could meet up with Mars too .
Today has been a good day - I think opening up to DH last night really made me feel better. I haven't shouted at the girls once today - I've been stern a couple of times, but not shouted, which must be the first time in a a long time. I didn't even get stressed at tea-time or bath-time, so I feel quite pleased with myself. And consequently they have been well-behaved and not moany (well not too much anyway!).
Momma, your gnocchi sound great - I'll swap you forthe recipe for the best gf chocolate brownies in the world (I'm not kidding ). I make them for friends as a presents and everyone raves about them .
I must go to bed - I've had a fantastic day diet-wise today, but have just ruined it by binge-ing on the girls' left-over christmas chocolate coins, which aren't even that nice .
Onwards and upwards girls.....
