he is clearly uncomfortable and nervous here but he does it justice Loving Lorraine Kelly at the end

I went to a big festival day in Glasgow many years ago called The Big Day. Got to George Square at 8am to be at the front and stayed til the concert finished that evening. We were exhausted and squashed but it was so worth it! He was great and came on singing this. Later that night, my and my friend locked ourselves out of our b&b room when she came running to the shower to tell me it was on the evening news We were both in towels and I had to do downstairs to beg a key LOL. Oh Shabs, you have brought back so many memories in one post..........wish yours were as happy xxxxx.

I loved Marti in his long swishy hair time - he was interviewed on GMTV by Lorraine Kelly this week - they should have used subtitles

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha - I had the same tshirt as the guitarist bloke - too late at night to remember his name!!!! I wore that shirt until a couple of years ago when it fell apart. Despite what happened in 1992 to my family - the music was wonderful and still makes me think of Matt and just grin - or gwin as he would say!!

Merly, DH and I bought ourselves a scalextric for Xmas a few years ago (pre-dc's) and we always set it up when we had friends round. If we'd had boys I think we'd have hung on to it, but we gave it to my brother a while back. Deffo get the scalextric - the boys might be too young yet, but you and DH will have a laugh .

HM, I'm not surprised you are having a tough time of it with all that on your plate. I have no pearls of wisdom at the moment...but I usually do as you do, and hide away when I'm feeling blue, but having posted the last couple of days I feel so much better, so make sure you keep on posting - and email me a long rant if you'd like. How about a night out in London while MIL is here to look after the children with DH? There's a sofa bed here for you any time, and we could meet up with Mars too .

Today has been a good day - I think opening up to DH last night really made me feel better. I haven't shouted at the girls once today - I've been stern a couple of times, but not shouted, which must be the first time in a a long time. I didn't even get stressed at tea-time or bath-time, so I feel quite pleased with myself. And consequently they have been well-behaved and not moany (well not too much anyway!).

Momma, your gnocchi sound great - I'll swap you forthe recipe for the best gf chocolate brownies in the world (I'm not kidding ). I make them for friends as a presents and everyone raves about them .

I must go to bed - I've had a fantastic day diet-wise today, but have just ruined it by binge-ing on the girls' left-over christmas chocolate coins, which aren't even that nice .

Onwards and upwards girls.....

I really, really like Hue and Cry. We met a lovely family from South Wales many moons ago in Majorca. Still in touch with them. Whenever we were visiting them and it was stupid past beer o'clock I would sing 'looking for linda' to my holiday friend - who, luckily, was called Linda

Thats Graeme Duffin, he wasn't in the orginal band but I think he's been there for donkey's years. Wished I'd seen that interview, he is so funny and I SO want to sleep with him. Of course, I'm sure the feeling is mutual LMAO!

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:56

Shabs, we are clearly related. Clearly.

shabster · 11/02/2009 22:59
