Hiya
Sorry about all of you with DC / DP / life problems. Let me throw this into the mix.....
Isaac has an acute ear infection. Boy did I feel like shit-mummy. I have been saying he wasn't right for a few days but the day MIL comes round (and I am at work) he turns into a hot/sweaty/bawling/farting/puking mess. I got OH to phone h/v for advice as he never does the 'medical' thing for the kids. By the time I had got home he was worse despite calpol, infacol and gripe water. Honestly his farting could've powered the national grid. I booked and docs appointment and he is now on luminous yellow anti b's syrup. Phoned MIL to update her and apparently she already knew that it was an ear infections and 'don't bathe him tonight as the steam will upset his ears'. How she knew (psychic ?) I don't know AND he's my kid, if I want to beat him with a stick I will so butt out.

shabster · 11/02/2009 21:29

Merly ROFL - at stick beating!!!

And I take back what I said about GPs, they are entirely needed for ear infection detection Poor wee thing, hope he's ok xxxxx.

When I got home, DT1 did a spectacular vomit everywhere. It got me, her, the rug, teddy, the couch, my coat and boots, you name it.....took me an hour and a half to clean everything and bath her and all the stuff. Anyway, got some Nurofen in followed by Calpol 2 hours later as the temp was just pushing it and then she ate some food and went off to bed an hour ago. I MUST go to bed early. The nice thing was that whilst I was bathing her, DD1 organised DT2 and made a get well card each for DT1, so sweet. They came up to the bathroom and hugged her and all went to find a place to put them. I still stand beside my comments about them fighting over fresh air......but we must grab the good bits!!!

Trips! Can't wait to hear from your about tonight! They will be tired but this is the stuff your memories are made of. I used to dance and did a few shows about the same age. Did a Tuesday-Saturday run with a matinee too and I look back and remember it so fondly. FAB!!!

I HAVE MY EARPLUGS IN HEN, ON YE GO!!!!

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 21:52

I love this song and I keep singing it atm, this is for you all my dolls, we'll get there, stick together

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 21:54

Jeez, Gwynneth is lucky. I would love to get a little shimmy, shimmy with him.

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 21:55

And I so wish I was jumping there in the front row. Thats my favourite place to be, front row of live music. Heaven.

Shabs! I saw that tour!! Actually, first night he was ill and we all had to go home and come back. It was fab. He is still on my hit list of "Ones To Do Before You Die.......Or In The Afterlife Wherever It May Be And However Long It May Take"

Lets just go to any gig with a young, skinny, handsome songster. I have tickets to see Hue&Cry in a couple of weeks Do you guys remember them? They are scottish, most commonly known for 'Looking for Linda' which was probably their crappest song!

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:17

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shabster · 11/02/2009 22:19

I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrveee Hue and Cry - they are fantastic.....sure we weren't related in another life?

Its such a bad venue for sound..........but it looks SO good when darkness falls and they light the big flames. He is gorgeous and has the voice of a god and the body of a devil.

shabster · 11/02/2009 22:21

My favourite Wets song of all time

I have just realised that I saw the Wets on that tour about 2 months after we lost Matt....I remember all the mums from his primary school paid for my ticket and took me to try to cheer me up how had I forgotten that?

OK. What should I get OH for his birthday on Tuesday? Scaletrix, remote control car or train set. He's never asked for any of these (although he thinks they are cool, and said we will have to get them for the DTs) but I thought he would play with them with the boys.

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:33

His HAIR!!!! Shabs, that makes me faint! I love his hair like this.

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:34

Merly definitely!!!! You can get a basic scalextric thing for about £15/£20 with minis. My parents got it for my DT2 and the adults loved it more than DT2

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:35

shabs, this one does it for me

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:37

frumpygrumpy · 11/02/2009 22:38
