Mars next tues it is, make sure you travel fairly light so can carry the bits back. Would love some more recipes.
Where do people post asking advice on good/bad areas to move to? I've seen them somewhere?

Marscentio · 28/02/2007 17:48

I always start in Chat lol!

frumpygrumpy · 28/02/2007 19:05

Glass of white anyone? I am on the last half glass of white in this house (why do I always run out? Can't be I drink a lot. Must be I don't buy enough.)

I was in bed at 11pm last night. DT2 woke. Then DT1. Then DD got up for a wee and a chat and a "please can you tuck me back in, please". Then DT1 woke again. Then she woke again. 5 trips out of my bed between 11.30pm and 4.20am. So tonight, if anyone sees me here, refuse to talk about anything but sleep. And yawn. A lot.

How has everyone's day been?

I seem to be putting out too much for too many. I find it hard not to help where help is needed but I find myself worn out and exhausted and short on my own fragments of time. I must learn the word no.

I don't know whats wrong with me tonight. I'm sad for some unknown reason. Maybe just too tired.......

Marscentio · 28/02/2007 19:14

I'll make you laugh FG. The reason I was sticking my head over the parapet was cos I admitted buying a mag with a few scantily clad girlies for DS1 (14). Well it was either that or viruses in the blardy pc again.

I finished my assignment but there is no DVD player on the PC so I am about to face the wrath of said 14 yo DS as I'm about to chuck him off the telly. I'm sure he has some form of homework that he can do!

frumpygrumpy · 28/02/2007 19:18

Ooooh you saucy maiden! I don't want to start up any issues from your thread but personally, I'd rather buy the mag and know they were wanking in their bedrooms rather than out trying other options

I really must go. The DTs are bawling their heads off bickering in the bath. I have no desire for it tonight.

Bed for them, some jobs to do and bed for me I think. I hope I stick to the plan.

Good luck with the DVD, don't fancy your chances there........

Ovun · 28/02/2007 19:32

Piximon - so glad that you finally did it, from the fact that you didn't post their names, I have deduced that you are not going to, which is fair enough, but I am curious
Mars - You are always studying something, the perpetual student hey, that or Salsa dancing. An inspiration to the rest of us no less
Kelly - That SW sounds a pain, suprised that he would come and see you at 8pm though, must work very late. Can understand from your point of view it is not an option though. How are you and yours tonight?
Fg - sleep is much better in the overrun house, fingers crossed I haven't jinxed it by saying that. I noticed that the zip is broken on one of the gro bags already So I put dt2 back in the smelly one I had to drag out from a pile of dirty washing. I aint going to go back to using duvets any time soon, i can tell you. Sorry to hear that you are sad though Me too if the truth be know, but mine is deffo PMT related. Roll on AF, that is all I can say.
Oh and hang in there criket, and how is your work situation HM?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 28/02/2007 19:39

hello everyone old and new, too tired to read everything properly, sorry - I had to drive down to glos Mon night then back last night for funeral yesterday. DH stayed here with PILs and DTs, PILs more of a PITA then a help I think am now settled down with a glass of red hoiping that DH will pick up a takeaway on his way back from parents' evening if not he'll get no supper

largeginandtonic · 28/02/2007 19:43

Mars DH says you will have to get him a regular subscription as they are only good for 2 weeks......

Hello all, hope we are well. FG i have those evenings, everything just seems to drag you down, i usually watch an ultra sad movie and get it over with. Probably good you have no wine, it can make you worse Mars should have cheered you up though, certainly made me smile

Kelly cant believe you are still being hassled by them all. I agree with FG, let them come and see what it's really like. Huge hugs to you xxxx

Pixie do we get to know the names then? Am still pondering on names for this baby, never a good thing as im like you and the baby is boy or girl for weeks after it's born. I get the nagging letters from the registry office before they are named, trying to do better this time. Quite like Dorian for him this week, what do ya think?

Im on the phone all the bloody time at the moment chasing schools and education welfare people for advice on what to do with the kids schooling when i have this baby. I think i need to go back to Plymouth to have him as if anything happens here im stuck. No family and no friends, dh not home till im 39 weeks. I may take the kids out of school in the easter hols and put them in to school in Plymouth temporarily, have been chasing places today. Trouble is with putting five in im struggling to find a good school to take them all. Way too much stress and a very unhelpful education welfare officer making me want to scream.

You try to be a good parent and nobody wants to help, no wonder most people just do things and suffer the consequences later. Grrrrr

Have we a birth announcement to read from Leo yet? Cant wait, love babies.

Hello everyone else, sorry for massive post goes with my massive bump. Have posted a pic on my member profile of it's gargantuan size....

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 28/02/2007 19:44

Ovun (I guess you were on the "what would your combined nickname be" thread. mine end's up as frumpy ) AF is due here too........bum and tits.

dingdong, hi, how did it all go?

dingdongjustforyoufg · 28/02/2007 19:51

lordy LG&T that sounds like a complete nightmare, poor you having to deal with it all on your own, v impressive bump though

FG the funeral was ok, my grandma has moderate dementia, so keeps remembering rather than being able to get used to losing grandad. It didn't hit her properly until we went to get in the cars and she saw the coffin in the hearse she was ok though, a tough old bird and she loved catching up with all the relatives after the service She is going to a home near my parents' house tomorrow which I think she will love.

Ovun · 28/02/2007 19:57

HI Frumpy I wasn't on that thread, but a couple of them were doing it on the fruit and veg thread that I regularly post on, so I just followed the crowd Shame mine sounds so gynaecalogical. HOpefully we will both be feeling better in a few days.
Hi Dingdong, glad the funeral went well, thats very sad about your grandmother, I have come across that before professionally (dementia I mean) and it really does complicate grief, exactly as you say
Hi Leo, sounds a rigth pain about schools, and I really feel for you, on your own with the children and you sound really upbeat and strong

frumpygrumpy · 28/02/2007 20:18

Ov, How about we both whip our ovuns out with an ice cream scoop and be done with it

dingdong, dementia is a sad thing to watch. My gran is constantly asking if we think she is getting altzeimhers (sp?). Given that her symptoms are me on a good day (you come upstairs and wonder what for or, today, you find the margarine in the cupboard next to the bread not the fridge) I remind her that we are still tapping the same stage and we laugh.

Lg&T, right honey, thats it. Pop that bump over to me and I'll take it from here on in. I'll pass it back 3 weeks after birth for naming and feeding. It will be fully weaned and able to sign "CBeebies"

Right. I'm going to make the packed lunch. Sort and fold some laundry. Set up the next two loads and lay out breakfast stuff (would an arrow suffice? along with the alarm code and taxi fare?) Don't talk to me. If you see me, push me into bed. Tell me not to pass go and certainly not to collect £200.

wonder if Paolo would take £200 for a quick and dirty up an alley.........

throckenholt · 01/03/2007 08:09

Hi All, how's things (as ever haven't had time to read the thread to catch up ).

We had some of the boys frineds over for tea last night - girl age 6 and brother age 4. While I was cooking tea the girl decided to do a very artistic tiger face paint on DT1 - covered his whole face in black and orange stripes. Unfortunately she used non-washable felt tip pens (why do they sell those for kids ?!) - DT1 now has a very stripy face . Even after the application of wipes and cleanser he had a very stripy face - albeit slightly faded and very shiny too .

Luckily DH is looking after them today so he can do all the explaining at school pickup and playgroup !

Ovun · 01/03/2007 09:08

LOl FG, but winces slightly too
Throkenholt, I found that even face paints that are supposed to be easy to get off, are still lingering in ds1 eyebrows. He had a spiderman face painted, and as he has auburn/ginger eyebrows, the red face paint wont quite go away.
Happy St Davids Day btw

frumpygrumpy · 01/03/2007 11:38

hello all.

Ovun · 01/03/2007 11:41

hello Frumpy, cheer up its St Davids day

frumpygrumpy · 01/03/2007 11:43

I have leeks. I could make soup. I feel like eeyore.

frumpygrumpy · 01/03/2007 11:44

I haven't felt like my name in ages. Today I feel like my name so very much.

Kelly1978 · 01/03/2007 13:03

what's getting you down, frumpy?

Ovun · 01/03/2007 13:14

yeah, tell us Fg. We are here to help ( if we can)

Harrogatemum · 01/03/2007 13:25

hello everyone - whats up FG?? Share adn we will try and assist!

Ovun - thanks for asking about the job situ - well would you believe it my boss sent me a rejection of my flexible working form, BUT offered me another role, same money but the days that I want............

I now feel in two minds, it left a bitter taste in my mouth the way I was treated and had started to consider life as a full time Mum.......on the other hand I feel pleased as I do enjoy work and it will probably be a nice balance working 3 full days and having 4 at home. Anyway, I need to think about it.

Where is Leo's birth announcement - you must share Mars, we are dying to know!! And Pixi - are you not sharing the names? Will understand if you dont want to but would love to know!

Leoladyofleisure · 01/03/2007 13:28

FG, maybe this will cheer you up !

frumpygrumpy · 01/03/2007 13:46
