brilliant news trips!

I hadn't heard anything much about the strikes, so I'm hoping that means ours aren't striking! I'm sure the seniors did last time though Confused

So lucky! Damn being pregnant! Do you think they'd want a pregnant woman on set?! It would be a dream to be in a Disney film! I think the new Disney film is called Into the woods.

triplets · 27/09/2013 23:06

Feeling down today. I usually love calling my bump a safe haven for my babies to grow but this time it's like a war zone, they should be safe not fighting to survive. It's seems that being in the outside world is the safest place for them. I want them to develop and have a stronger chance to survive outside the womb but I risk stunting his growth and stillbirth and in turn risk his sister. Do I have a section on Monday or do I carry on and let labor come naturally? They're the choices my consultant gave me. DH says carry on but my DF and cousin say section. I feel like a failure, I can't even provide a safe place in my womb so how am I gunna keep them same on the outside... Dammit. Stupid tears.

On the bright side Dieter said his 1st word today; VaVa (German name they call DH) :)

Sok - Glad the physio is helping you!

How's the repairs coming along, Bub? X

Oh, and never think of yourself as a failure. You've carried them this far through a rough ride. They're both still with you.

The odds of my boy making it to 37 weeks alive are slim. He's growth is slow and with the constant change in fluid levels it makes it impossible for him to catch up. The longer he's in the womb the more chance of him developing problems especially as he has Symmetrical IUGR. There is a 40% chance he will be stillborn.

As it stands, his fluids are okay. They've warned me that if I do continue and his fluids drop then they have to deliver them (the weekly evaluation choice). The latest they will let me wait is 34 weeks. I'm so confused. DH wants me to wait to let his lungs develop and give our girl the chance to grow too.

In my heart I want to carry on and give them every chance but my head is saying get them out. Can't sleep with all the things going in my head. When they were talking all I saw was their mouths moving and no sound.

triplets · 29/09/2013 06:41

Morning...........yes its stupid o`clock again..........grrrr
Mama I had no choice but to have my three delivered by c section at 32 weeks. This was because baby number 3 was slowing right down in growth, I had been given steroids to help their lungs develop from 28 weeks. They were right, baby 1 weighed 4.3oz, baby 2 weighed 4.7oz and baby 3 was 2.15oz. Thankfully all were fine, none needed help to breath and only James went into an incubator to keep him warm. Difficult decision.

Thanks, lovelies. Our girl is estimated at 3lbs 3oz and our boy is estimated at 1lb 5oz. DH and I discussed everything on the phone and I'm taking to my dad and we've decided to ask to see if we can move the section to 4th October. That way we have more time to think and change our minds if we need to.

Morning girls xx

Cant imagine how difficult things are for you right now Mamma.

I only found out I was having twins 10 days before they were born at 38 weeks! In the days before scans were done. Danny weighed 5lbs 13 and Gareth was just 4lbs 1. It was the biggest shock of my life.

MultipleMama · 29/09/2013 09:49

I think yesterday was me in shock. I was overwhelmed with all the words they were staying. I think just hearing the word stillborn sent me over the edge. Feel calmer today and ready for everything to be explained in simple terms. Glad to be off Magnesium though!

Shabs - boy, that would be a big shock! Thank God for scans haha.

bubby64 · 29/09/2013 18:08

Hi Mama, glad things are a little clearer today. I'm sure you will make the right choice for both babes.
I was given a similar choice when at 28wks, wait a little longer and hope James would pick up a bit, but give mike a much better chance, or have a csection at 30wks. in the end, the choice was taken away again as both the labour re-started and couldn't be stopped and J went into foetal distress, so early c section became the only logical choice.
