Quite wise too - I think I did postcode lottery for around 8 months, and won a tenner. It's a bit rubbish as obviously you never get that money back.

Or did you mean you had £500 in premium bonds for 10 years?? That would make a lot more sense.

When interest rates were really low, premium bond prizes have been equally low, it's only since rates shot up in the last year or two that winnings have become more normalised.

Even when the odds were as bad as 36000:1 you would still expect multiple prizes in just one year with £30,000. Something must be wrong for so little in 10 years.

I cancelled post code lottery too; seemed like a massive waste of money. Now to cure my national lottery addiction.

You're ok if the other account is a savings account, some people have more than one PB account (I do). The PB holding in total cannot exceed £50k.

Just to clarify. I closed my account about 2 years ago. I had it from 2011 (when my kids were born) and I was saving into it each month about 2k. The most it ever had was 30k. I also withdraw from it sporadically
I only ever won £75.00- once in lockdown. It was the first and only time I ever got a payment. I am Aware others win more. My BIL had 10k in his account and he has won over 3k in 10 years so I'm aware I am very unlucky. Which I why I withdrew all my money and I now have a High Yield Savings account which pays 7% each month. The other NS&I bonds account was set up by my parents when I was born using the money people had gifted them. I have never won anything in this since 1976. But I still keep this one open.

Like others on this thread, I had £50 of bonds since birth for 45 years and never won a penny.

Had it for 6 months last year and cancelled in December. Nothing to show for it.

I have won postcode lottery think 3 times. Always £10

So £30 v maybe 10yrs of 120 a year ans recently increased to £12 so £144

That's over a £1000 I could and should have our in pb

Well I’ve just had an email to say I’ve won £100! And…. I only have £200 worth at the moment, which I’ve had since last March.

After my 5k win in September I only had 50 quid October.. had zero in November and December but 150 win in January.
8k win in total last year and started this year with 150 quid. (Another 5k be nice in 2024 !)
