I do wish people would write down roughly what holdings they have when reporting their results, as it makes a big difference. You may feel disappointed to win nothing this month if you have £5000 in there, you feel even more disappointed when you have £50,000! In 2022 I actually won nothing 3 months in a row, almost FH.

Nothing to do with being nosy. And I am not stealth boasting about our FHs, that's a lot of our house money in there, so it will probably all be cashed in later this year, I'll be down to hardly any PBs. Currently don't own. Just hoping to win the million before then and get something much posher!

Thanks for your very clear explanations, @CaveMum and @Cowhen .

Chewbecca · 03/01/2024 20:39

£100 on combined £53k, rather disappointing.

Happiestathome · 03/01/2024 20:50

£0 for me on £32000 and £150 for hubby on £31750. Topped up to £35k each for feb

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2024 20:58

I also had the thrill of winning postcode lottery

Not £30/50/80/100/325k like tv adverts

A whole £10

I pay £12 a month s0 £144 a year

I have cancelled it now and will add the £150 to pb over the year

£100 on FH - I’m disappointed but overall 3.7% return last year which is ok. I live in hope!

Madcats · 03/01/2024 22:29

Zero for me for just over £22k.

Grrr...

QuiltedHippo · 03/01/2024 23:31

£150 again this month on about 14k, until recently only had won £25 max so that's nice

Aposterhasnoname · 04/01/2024 06:20

£50 on £41,000 holding. That’s thirteen months straight we’ve won something. I’ve worked out we got 4.56% return last year so I think we’re doing ok.

Backinthedress · 04/01/2024 07:28

Difficult to work out my return for the year as I started and finished with about 10k, but i withdrew and added so that I went as low as 5k in April and then added to it gradually to build back up, so my annual return of £400 is between 4% and 8% which isn't bad.
Would have been a fairly poor year without this latest win of £150, though.

MissIndecisive2023 · 04/01/2024 07:33

Ooh I won £50 on £1000 holdings. Haven’t won before so was super excited to get an email last night!

LilianaVikavanovich · 04/01/2024 10:10

£350 for me
£250 for DH
£125 for DS
we all have full holdings
my best win ever !

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/01/2024 11:11

I'm already taking advantage of the 2 very good savings rate on monthly savers that my bank offers to get guaranteed interest, so I'm happy to keep playing the bonds game.

I've stuck another 2k in to up my odds of winning. It is also good incentive to put the money away where (apart from checking winnings and reading this thread) I mostly forget about it.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 04/01/2024 11:16

Dh has won £1200 in the last 6 months on FH and I've won £400 on 25k.

FlatWhiteExtraHot · 04/01/2024 12:59

Nothing for me, DS or SIL
£125 for DH
£300 for DD

Sunshinedrops85 · 04/01/2024 14:14

We won £175 on 40k.

Daisymay2 · 04/01/2024 17:06

I got £150 on 9k. First winning since August. I withdrew most of mine to buy a new car at the end of June.
One DS won £75 and the other £50, not sure how much they have these days.

DarlingCoffee · 04/01/2024 17:25

£250 on almost FH. Nice start to the year!

YellowRoses100 · 04/01/2024 18:53

Jumping in. I had 30k in Premium Bonds for 10 years and only ever won £75.00 over the whole time.

i also had some in an account from my birth. The oldest bonds I had were from 1976. They never won anything.

In the end I took it out and I get more money in higher Yield interest account. How do you all manage to won every month????

LondonLovie · 04/01/2024 20:09

FH me £150
DD on £8k £100

solice84 · 04/01/2024 20:49

When did you take it out?

I've had £1000 back on £30k since July

Not sure how to work out what that means in % return

Happiestathome · 04/01/2024 22:17

@YellowRoses100 the odds are 21000:1 and I think were 24000:1 or something similar previously. You would expect multiple prizes per annum with £30k. That is beyond bad luck. Are you sure there wasn’t a freeze on the account or something because you held 2 accounts instead of 1?

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/01/2024 00:32

I don't have a lot but won quite well last year

I said on a previous thread when I had 30k + in it I rarely won

I then drained pb for ivf and extension and been slowly building them back up

I used to spend my winnings of £25 on a takeaway but last month now reinvesting to try and build balance up again

Can't imagine would ever have anywhere near the amount I used to

Not now a mummy 😂

They then upped the smaller prizes (I think) and I started to win a bit more /most months

Ok. Thanks. The main account has between 20k-30k throughout 10 years. I still have the account and still no winnings. Maybe I will check to see if there is a block.

InMySpareTime · 05/01/2024 07:41

@YellowRoses100 you say "the main account", which implies you have other accounts with NS&I. If a person's total holding across any number of accounts is over £50k then there's a problem and bonds can end up ineligible.

YellowRoses100 · 05/01/2024 09:11

Ok. The 'from birth account' only had £500. It still does and has never won.i don't have the other account anymore as I never won anything!! I must be very unlucky!
