Please check out the absolutely terrible reviews of this Eureka thing before wasting your time and effort on it. They are truly awful and the positive ones look to be AI written.

reesewithoutaspoon · 17/09/2023 13:09

I tried eureka. All the surveys were always locked. Only thing you could do was the 1p a day. It was useless. The games only offered a penny a minute for the first 10 mins or so then it was a penny for 5 or 10 mins. Honestly I found it useless. Playing games for 6p an hour isn't for me.
Qmee seemed to disqualify the majority of surveys, which was a little annoying.

Up to know I'm having better results with ipsos I say. They pay a better rate. Or attapoll which I average a tenner a week, mainly do that in ad breaks. It has its issues, pay is low and you have to avoid the ones that seem to offer better rates for a few minutes survey then redirect you to another survey which is 4 times longer, but I just close them immediately.

You gov offer better rates but you don't get regular surveys and have to earn £50 before you can withdraw, which could take many months .I know you can earn more by linking bank accounts, but I'm not prepared to give them that access

I'm really liking shopmium atm. Its dead easy to use, pays really quickly and as long as you only buy stuff you would be buying anyway it's a no brainer .

In the last month I've had £40 from attapoll, £20 from ipsos and £25 from shopmium. It helps a little. Its going in a Christmas fund

Definitely agree, cashback sites are much better as long as you don’t use them to steer your buying decisions unduly.

survey sites are like the Wild West, yougov at least are a respected company. Who on earth are these charlatan companies selling their survey “data” to? It must be totally worthless.

Ive managed this year to really up my game on passive income and side hustles

This tax year Ive made £810 babysitting, £2400 on hosting, Ive got a casual waitressing job I've made £1240 and there are decent tips on top at £496. 20% tax is paid on everything but the hosting so £2037 so averaging £11 a day

Interest on savings rates have increased this year, so making use of that with 3 regular savers, started at various times to allow the first to pay the remainder of the last. Other accounts are about offering some really good rates and have managed to put money away so should receive in the region of £2500 interest, so £6,84 our day and because some is in ISA no tax to pay.

Hoping to make more around Christmas as its a busy time, but of course that is off set with January

@OttoGraph

Hiya - could you explain what 'hosting' is please?

OttoGraph · 19/09/2023 14:19

Hosting students, the local college looks for host families. Check out your local college see if they have an international department and google local language schools as they often need hosts

It’s not for everyone, but some organisations are crying out for casual / bank support workers. It’s similar to working in care, but generally not as arduous. You can make £1,000 in a week.

BadlyArrangedToasties · 17/05/2024 11:50

Prime opinion is easy and you can reach payment threshold really quickly. Pays in PayPal cash or vouchers. I have downloaded the app - have done a lot off survey sites and this one by far one of best. Also if you put in bonus code UP6ZNI you get an additional 10% on al earnings from first 24 hours of signing up.

I work full time in a school, admin not teaching.
I have a reselling business and buy things from Facebook marketplace, charity shops and car boot sales to sell on.
I do lots of research, pay tax on it and work really hard at it but it's worth it, I make around 1k a month, am sitting on probably 30k of stock. It can be as small or big as you want it to be, start with things you know and would buy second hand yourself and go from there.

Which sites do you use? A variety or one? To sell on I mean? I'm trying to clear out clothes and things having sold most of things of value that I had. I desperately need to make some money.

@awayfromitallplease Just in case the other poster doesn't respond, I think Ebay is still the king of selling sites. I have never got into Vinted as I know Ebay well and couldn't be doing with learning a new system! But I think that Depop and Etsy can be useful for vintage or quirky items?

Can I send you a pm with some suggestions on how to make some extra cash as I have a few referral codes that would do so albeit they aren’t instant or even bank switches if you haven’t done them yet?

I’ve seen at least five of the “side hustle “ threads in active this evening? You seem busy tonight!

It’s good to report spam. I think all the side hustle threads have been started by the same spammer.
