Just been sat doing some life admin while I'm off work and I have transferred some of my ds's Xmas and birthday money into premium bonds so he now has £27k which I believe is the tipping point of when you are more likely to win prizes from what I have read. Would love for him to win the million so it would set him up for life. Come on Agent Million give us a knock on the door this Monday 🙏

Sorry, but you wont be included in the Jan draw with bonds just purchased, unless rules have changed?!?

Cudz · 31/12/2022 19:56

@WowIlikereallyhateyou ah no sorry I know the new deposits won't be entered until Feb (he didnt get 27k for xmas and birthday although that would have been lovely!) I just meant I was hoping for his existing bonds to be the lucky ones in Jan x

Fireflygal · 31/12/2022 20:05

I was fairly lucky in 2022, £125 in total for a £8k holding. Think I may move some savings that are ear marked for another project. Someone mentioned a tipping point??

Cudz · 31/12/2022 20:43

@Fireflygal yes I've read it's around the 27k mark on here previously. At that point your chances of winning increase apparently

Babytwodue · 01/01/2023 08:23

I just got excited and checked the December draws High value winners! 🤦🏻‍♀️
love looking at the locations and how long ago they invested 😁 fingers crossed for next week 🤞🏻

wheresmyshoe · 01/01/2023 09:09

Wishing us all some premium bond luck for New Year.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2023 10:07

So if I have this right. As first working day of the month - 3rd is when we find out over £1000 online and 4th is app

none of us are the millionaires 🙀🥲😂

Sounds right to me @Blondeshavemorefun
Gutted not to have had a knock on the door. I really don't want to go back to work 😓

RubbishDay · 01/01/2023 10:17

Just searched and on their twitter account for August they talk about how AM was out delivering the news 'this weekend'.

Therefore I am going with the view that it's tomorrow (day before the list is published) that they visit. At least it keeps my dreams alive for one more day.

PikachusSmarterBrother · 01/01/2023 10:19

But tomorrow's Monday, that's not the weekend.

I love obsessing over this every month 😄 - imagine winning £1M on NY's day.

But I have seen them say it doesn't matter if it's a bank holiday or weekend for AM.

This was for August. So working backwards for January, the app is the 4th. The list is the 3rd so I am going with AM on the 2nd.

But as said above there are conflicting reports as to when even from them but mine gives me some hope 😆

WeAreBorg · 01/01/2023 10:24

So the million winners already know? ☹️
My 2023 plan was essentially based on me winning a million so this really scuppers it 😂

Youarethesun · 01/01/2023 10:26

From the reports I read the million pound winners find out tomorrow. The day before the first working day of the month. Even if it’s a BH.

But as pp said there are conflicting reports. I would write off the million until tomorrow night

ScarlettSunset · 01/01/2023 10:33

I also thought it was the day before the first working day of the month, so I've also been assuming it will be tomorrow that they show up here.

PikachusSmarterBrother · 01/01/2023 10:34

OK, 🤞🏻 for tomorrow then 😄.

Yep, every month I make plans that rely on a big win.

I hope I win a million... nope

I hope I win 100k... nope

I hope I win £1000... nope

I hope I win £100... nope

Well maybe £10 isn't so bad. 🤣

Adviceneeded200 · 01/01/2023 13:19

£10! You are showing your age!!!!

Does anyone know anyone who has won a lot? I know a 10k winner (She had 10k invested!) That was about 5 years ago. And I know a "big" lottery winner from the first year of the lottery....many years ago now, but he was part of a pretty large syndicate so he didn't get amazing amounts.

Eaumyword · 01/01/2023 13:27

I love hearing stories about big winners!
I only know of a colleague 25years ago who won £100k on the lottery - he bought his first house outright with it - what a leg up!
I don't know her, but a lady on the PB Facebook group won £100,025 in the summer. She was in shock!

OneFrenchEgg · 01/01/2023 16:06

If you are a lucky winner though, NS&I say that Agent Million visits you either 'in the afternoon or the evening before the first working day of the month, ahead of the news being published in the media'.

Contradicts them telling me first working day of the month Confused

BrutusMcDogface · 01/01/2023 16:10

Hi! I’ve just seen this on active threads. I’ve won bugger all but my dd won £1000 last year!!

There are so many contradictions I wonder if it's deliberate. Keeps us all guessing.

I will keep my dreams going until about 5-6pm tomorrow 🤞

OneFrenchEgg · 01/01/2023 16:19

I reckon - draw, tell winner, publish main results, app results.

That’s June 2019

so maybe things have changed

last working day of month is million

first working day is over £1000

day after then the app and £25 +

Bit they told me first working day for the million this year - who knows?! I agree with a pp re: keeping it confusing!
